We construct new 1/2 supersymmetric solutions in D = 3, N = 2, matter coupled, U(1) gauged supergravities and study some of their properties. We do this by employing a quite general supersymmetry breaking condition, from which we also redrive some of the already known solutions. Among the new solutions, we have an explicit nontopological soliton for the non-compact sigma model, a locally flat solution for the compact sigma model and a string-like solution for both types of sigma models. The last one is smooth for the compact scalar manifold.

Suppersymmetric strings and waves in D=3, N=2 matter coupled gauged supergravities
Deger, NS; Sarioglu, O (2004-12-01)
We construct new 1/2 supersymmetric solutions in D = 3, N = 2, matter coupled, U(1) gauged supergravities and study some of their properties. In the most general case they represent a string superposed with gravitational and Chern-Simons electromagnetic waves. The waves are attached to the string and the solution satisfied an electromagnetic self-duality relation. When the sigma model is non-compact it interpolates between as asymptotically Kaigorodov space and a naked singularity. For the compact sigma mod...
New physics effects to the lepton polarizations in the B -> Kl(+)l(-) decay
Alıyev, Tahmasıb; Özpineci, Altuğ; Savcı, Mustafa (2001-09-01)
Using the general, model independent form of the effective Hamiltonian, the general expressions of the longitudinal, normal, and transversal polarization asymmetries for l(-) and l(+) and combinations of them for the exclusive B-->Kl(+)l(-) decay are found. The sensitivity of lepton polarizations and their combinations on new Wilson coefficients are studied. It is found that there exist regions of Wilson coefficients for which the branching ratio coincides with the standard model result while the lepton pol...
Improved p-ary codes and sequence families from Galois rings
Ling, San; Özbudak, Ferruh (2005-01-01)
In this paper, a recent bound on some Weil-type exponential sums over Galois rings is used in the construction of codes and sequences. The bound on these type of exponential sums provides a lower bound for the minimum distance of a family of codes over F-p, mostly nonlinear, of length p(m+1) and size p(2) (.) p(m)((D-[D/p2])), where 1 <= D <= p(m/2). Several families of pairwise cyclically distinct p-ary sequences of period p(p(m) - 1) of low correlation are also constructed. They compare favorably with cer...
On plateaued functions, linear structures and permutation polynomials
Mesnager, Sihem; Kaytancı, Kübra; Özbudak, Ferruh (2019-01-01)
We obtain concrete upper bounds on the algebraic immunity of a class of highly nonlinear plateaued functions without linear structures than the one was given recently in 2017, Cusick. Moreover, we extend Cusick’s class to a much bigger explicit class and we show that our class has better algebraic immunity by an explicit example. We also give a new notion of linear translator, which includes the Frobenius linear translator given in 2018, Cepak, Pasalic and Muratović-Ribić as a special case. We find some app...
