Püskürtülen ince kaplamalar ve yapışmalarına etki eden faktörler

2011-12-01
In this study, some information is given on the TSL’s (thin spray on liner) use, structure, and support functions. In addition, adhesive strength tests are conducted to assess the effect of environmental conditions on TSL adhesion. The presence of oil, water and dust on a substrate and the roughness and grain size properties of different substrates are evaluated. All the tests are performed using Tekflex liner material. Adhesive strengths of about 1.8 MPa can be achieved with Tekflex under optimal conditions. Where the rock surface is contaminated with dust or the rock is weak in tension, it may be difficult to reach adhesion strengths of 1 to 1.5 MPa. It is observed that rather than the mechanical interlocking, chemical reaction between the rock grain matrix and the liner material is more important to get higher adhesive strength. Rocks with higher tensile strength and larger grain size tend to give higher adhesive strength. Substrate roughness does not seem to increase adhesive strength.

Synthesis of liquid crystalline copolyesters with low melting temperature for in situ composite applications
Erdoğan, Selahattin; Bayramlı, Erdal; Department of Polymer Science and Technology (2011)
The objective of this study is to synthesize nematic-thermotropic liquid crystalline polymers (LCP) and determine their possible application areas. In this context, thirty different LCP’s were synthesized and categorized with respect to their fiber formation capacity, melting temperature and mechanical properties. The basic chemical structure of synthesized LCP’s were composed of p-acetoxybenzoic acid (p-ABA), m-acetoxybenzoic acid (m-ABA), hydroquinone diacetate (HQDA), terephthalic acid (TPA) and isophtha...
Experimental and numerical investigation of fretting failure in lug-bush members under cyclic loading
Özen, Emine Burçin; Çöker, Demirkan; Department of Aerospace Engineering (2021-7)
In this study, experimental and numerical work to investigate the mechanisms occurring at the contact region of the lug-bush members under cyclic loading are presented. Post-mortem macroscopic and microscopic investigations of the mating lug and bush surfaces are conducted using digital microscope and scanning electron microscope. The black-brown residues observed at the mating surfaces are shown to be tribolayer regions using energy dispersive spectroscopy analysis. Locations of sliding regions at the cont...
Experimental and numerical analysis of effect of curing time on mechanical properties of thin spray-on liners
Güner, Doğukan; Öztürk, Hasan; Department of Mining Engineering (2014)
This research study investigates the effect of curing time on elastic material properties (Young’s modulus, Poisson’s ratio) and tensile, compressive strength of thin spray on liners (TSL). TSLs are fast curing, comparatively thin (3-5mm) and widely used rock support system in mining and civil engineering excavations. They have advantages of low volume, rapid application and low operating cost. The major ingredients of current TSLs are divided as polyurethane/ polyurea or Portland cement based latex product...
Creep behaviour analysis of thin spray-on liners
Güner, Doğukan; Öztürk, Hasan; Department of Mining Engineering (2020)
Thin Spray-on Liner (TSL) is a relatively thin (2–5 mm) and fast-setting liner material used by spraying onto rock surfaces to support underground excavations. Areal support materials that are sprayed onto the rock, such as shotcrete or liners, are able to generate support resistance at small rock deformations and can prevent underground rockfalls from happening in the first place. However, where large ground convergence occurs, the more flexible TSLs may provide superior support over the full range of rock...
