Rassal tavsiyeden yararlanma ve karar performansı

2016-04-01

Advice utilization and decision performance under random advice /
Özarslan, Ali; Gönül, M. Sinan; Department of Business Administration (2014)
The importance of advice taking in decision making has been arising for two and a half decades. The existing research in advice taking has suggested numerous measurement techniques that are utilized under different types of advice such as random advice and perfect advice. In this thesis using the random advice framework, through an experimental design, I compare some of formula-based, regression-based and scale-based techniques of advice utilization that are widely used in judgment tasks and test the decisi...
Scenarios as channels of forecast advice
ÖNKAL, DİLEK; SAYIM YAZAL, KADİRE ZEYNEP; Gönül, Mustafa Sinan (2013-05-01)
Today's business environment provides tougher competition than ever before, stressing the important role played by information and forecasts in decision-making. The scenario method has been popular for focused organizational learning, decision making and strategic thinking in business contexts, and yet, its use in communicating forecast information and advice has received little research attention. This is surprising since scenarios may provide valuable tools for communication between forecast providers and...

A framework was constructed to model the organizational memory formation process in construction companies. Based on this model, an interview study was conducted to investigate both the organizational memory formation and the role of organizational memory in strategic decision-m...
HOW TO HANDLE INTERVAL SOLUTIONS FOR COOPERATIVE INTERVAL GAMES
Branzei, R.; Tijs, S.; ALPARSLAN GÖK, Sırma Zeynep (World Scientific Pub Co Pte Lt, 2010-04-01)
Uncertainty accompanies almost every situation in our lives and it influences our decisions. On many occasions uncertainty is so severe that we can only predict some upper and lower bounds for the outcome of our (collaborative) actions, i.e., payoffs lie in some intervals. Cooperative interval games have been proved useful for solving reward/cost sharing problems in situations with interval data in a cooperative environment. In this paper we propose two procedures for cooperative interval games. Both transf...
Evaluating expert advice in forecasting: Users' reactions to presumed vs. experienced credibility
ÖNKAL, DİLEK; Gönül, Mustafa Sinan; Goodwin, Paul; Thomson, Mary; Oz, Esra (2017-01-01)
In expert knowledge elicitation (EKE) for forecasting, the perceived credibility of an expert is likely to affect the weighting attached to their advice. Four experiments have investigated the extent to which the implicit weighting depends on the advisor's experienced (reflecting the accuracy of their past forecasts), or presumed (based on their status) credibility. Compared to a control group, advice from a source with a high experienced credibility received a greater weighting, but having a low level of e...
