Advanced MEMS For RF and Millimeter Wave Communications (AMICOM)
Akın, Tayfun(2004-1-31)
The approach of the information society has resulted in a tremendous increase in the volume of wireless communication often giving rise to bottle-necks in the communication systems. To alleviate this congestion there is pressure to widen the allocated frequency bands up to millimetre wavelengths and to have terminals that are able to support many standards. It is understood that conventional components and solutions have limitations that will make it difficult to fulfil these requirements. The last five ...
Advanced Design of Schottky Photodiodes in Bulk CMOS for High Speed Optical Receivers
Orsel, Ogulcan Emre; Erdil, Mertcan; Kocaman, Serdar (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), 2020-02-01)
This paper provides theoretical insight on how circular Schottky photodiodes in bulk CMOS can be optimized for certain integrated receiver applications. An optimal photodiode size is analytically demonstrated and the effects of a metal plate reflector are simulated using a transfer-matrix method, both for frontside and backside illumination. Finally, a distributed circuit model is presented, which deviates from the classical lumped model for large photodiodes or sheet resistances. The presented methodologie...
Advanced mathematical and statistical tools in the dynamic modelling and simulation of gene-environment networks
Purutçuoğlu Gazi, Vilda (Springer, 2014-01-01)
In this study, some methodologies and a review of the recently obtained new results are presented for the problem of modeling, anticipation and forecasting of genetic regulatory systems, as complex systems. In this respect, such kind of complex systems are modeled in the dynamical sense into the two different ways, namely, by a system of ordinary differential equations (ODEs) and Gaussian graphical methods (GGM). An artificial time-course microarray dataset of a gene-network is modeled as an example by usin...
AdvancedReadings in Instructional Technology
Çağıltay, Kürşat(2011)
CEIT 626 is a fundamental course on instructional technology. It covers most of the topics related to the field. It gives ideas to novels about what the field is, knowledge of its history, what the future of the field will be and so on. You have to prepare short papers on given topics/questions that must be submitted weekly. In addition to them, there will be 2 major assignments and 1 term paper. Further, each student will be expected to participate actively in class discussions and show evidence of persona...
