New approach for modelling distributed MEMS transmission lines
Topalli, K; Unlu, M; Demir, S; Aydın Çivi, Hatice Özlem; Koc, S; Akın, Tayfun (2006-04-01)
The paper presents a new and more accurate model for the distributed MEMS transmission line (DMTL) structures. In this new model, the MEMS bridges that are used as the loading elements of the DMTL structures are represented as low-impedance transmission lines, rather than a lumped CLR circuit. The model also includes LC networks at the transition points from the MEMS bridges to the unloaded parts of the DMTL, which are simply high-impedance transmission lines. These LC networks are employed to model the eff...
New Theoretical solution of stage-discharge relationship for slit weirs
FERRO, Vito; Aydın, İsmail (American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE), 2018-03-01)
In this paper, the flow-process of a slit weir was analyzed on the basis of a theorem of dimensional analysis and incomplete self-similarity theory. The theoretically deduced stage-discharge formula then was calibrated using experimental data obtained for a ratio between the weir and the channel width, ranging from 0.05 to 0.25. The deduced stage-discharge relationship allowed measuring discharge values characterized by errors that, for 98% of the measured values, were less than or equal to ±5%. The perform...

New approach to conserved charges of generic gravity in AdS spacetimes
Altaş Kiracı, Emel; Tekin, Bayram (2019-04-22)
Neutron stars constitute an important class of extreme relativistic objects allowing one to examine the theories of gravitation in the strong field regime. Their supranuclear densities stemming from their large masses and small radii make them also interesting laboratories for matter under extreme conditions which is modelled by different equations of states (EoS). Such extreme conditions make the determination of EoS a difficult problem in nuclear physics but, on the other hand, the studies in this directi...
