Relationships between the Sakarya Zone and the Ankara-Erzincan suture (central-northern Turkey): geological and petrographic data from the Ankara-Cankiri, Corum and Amasya areas
Pandeli, Enrico; Elter, Franco Marco; Toksoy Köksal, Fatma; Principi, Gianfranco; Orlando, Andrea; Valleri, Gigliola; Giusti, Riccardo; Orti, Letizia (2018-02-01)
The study was performed in central-northern Anatolia (from Ankara to Amasya) to investigate the relationships of the Sakarya Zone units and the Izmir-Ankara-Erzincan suture (IAES) melange. It reveals that all the Sakarya Zone units are metamorphic and three main tectonostratigraphic units have been distinguished for the first time: the BAA (metasiliciclastic rocks capped by metacarbonates and varicoloured phyllite), the BKC (poly-metamorphic garnet-bearing micaschist and metabasite with a well-preserved rel...
Relationships between topography and Kerkenes (Turkey), a GIS analysis
Çayırezmez, Nurdan Atalan; Summers, Geoffrey; Department of Settlement Archaeology (2006)
This study investigates the effect of topography in ancient city “Kerkenes” using Geographic Information Systems (GIS). Kerkenes, an Iron Age city located on a batholith in Yozgat province, Turkey, was chosen because of its exceptional size, short life and the availability of extensive data. Approximately seven kilometres of city wall in Kerkenes, including towers and seven gates, enclose 2.5 km². The research comprises topographic analysis and settlement data analysis. Elevation values collected by Global ...

E-Katılım ve Belediye Hizmet Kalitesi Algısı İlişkisi: Nilüfer Belediyesi Örneği
Yavuz, Nilay (2017-11-01)
Comparison of biogeochemical dynamics in two time series sites of aNorth Atlantic Ocean site PAP and BATS a modeling approach
Ibello, Valeria; Salihoğlu, Barış; Kıdeyş, Ahmet Erkan (null; 2013-01-01)
Plankton functional type (PFT) models are highly complex ecosystem models. Indeed, the large number of processes and plankton functional groups represented in these models make the network of interactions extremely complicated. Slight differences in parameterization or formulation of single processes, therefore, may drive these models to respond in a very different way to perturbations of the system. An evaluation of such a different responses can be very useful to understand the processes regulating the fu...
