Determining allowable parametric uncertainty in an uncommon quadrotor model for closed loop stability
Baskin, Mehmet; Leblebicioğlu, Mehmet Kemal (2022-01-01)
In this article, control oriented uncertainty modeling of an uncommon quadrotor in hover is discussed. This quadrotor consists of two counter-rotating big rotors on longitudinal axis and two counter-rotating small tilt rotors on lateral axis. Firstly, approximate linear model of this vehicle around hover is obtained by using Newton-Euler formulation. Secondly, specific uncertainty is assigned to each parameter. Resulting uncertain model is converted into a linear fractional transformation framework for robu...

Identifying preferred solutions in multiobjective combinatorial optimization problems
Lokman, Banu (2019-01-01)
We develop an evolutionary algorithm for multiobjective combinatorial optimization problems. The algorithm aims at converging the preferred solutions of a decision-maker. We test the performance of the algorithm on the multiobjective knapsack and multiobjective spanning tree problems. We generate the true nondominated solutions using an exact algorithm and compare the results with those of the evolutionary algorithm. We observe that the evolutionary algorithm works well in approximating the solutions in the...
Determining the optimal parameters for the MHD flow and heat transfer with variable viscosity and Hall effect
EVCİN, CANSU; Uğur, Ömür; Tezer, Münevver (2018-09-15)
The direct and optimal control solution of the laminar, fully developed, steady MHD flow of an incompressible, electrically conducting fluid in a duct is considered together with the heat transfer. The flow is driven by a constant pressure gradient and an external uniform magnetic field. The fluid viscosity is temperature dependent varying exponentially and the Hall effect, viscous and Joule dissipations are taken into consideration. The control problem is solved by the discretize-then-optimize approach usi...
