The present study investigated the reliability and validity of the ATQ in the Turkish cultural context. Objective: Hikikomori, a form of severe and long-term social withdrawal, known to cause the waste of work force in society and the decrease in performance, has recently been accepted as a psychiatric disorder. After realizing the lack of assessment instruments related to this syndrome, the 25-item Hikikomori Questionnaire (HQ-25) was developed by the researchers. The aim of the study is to examine the HQ-25's adaptation to the Turkish language, its validity and reliability.
