Structural characterization of polycrystalline Ag-In-Se thin films deposited by e-beam technique
Colakoglu, T.; Parlak, Mehmet (Elsevier BV, 2008-01-15)
The Ag-In-Se thin films were deposited by e-beam evaporation of the Ag3In5Se9 single crystal powder under high vacuum without intentional doping. Energy dispersive X-ray analysis (EDXA) showed the decreasing behavior of Se and Ag in the structure depending on the annealing. X-ray diffraction (XRD) analysis showed that as-grown films have amorphous structure while annealing the films under nitrogen environment at 200 degrees C transformed from the amorphous to polycrystalline structure. The crystallinity of ...
Structural and Chemical Characterization of Hardwood from Tree Species with Applications as Bioenergy Feedstocks
Persil Çetinkol, Özgül; CHENG, GANG; LAO, JEEMENG; GEORGE, ANTHE; HONG, KUNLUN; HENRY, ROBERT; HEAZLEWOOD, JOSHUA; SIMMONS, BLAKE; HOLMES, BRADLEY (Public Library of Science (PLoS), 2012-12-28)
Eucalypt species are a group of flowering trees widely used in pulp production for paper manufacture. For several decades, the wood pulp industry has focused research and development efforts on improving yields, growth rates and pulp quality through breeding and the genetic improvement of key tree species. Recently, this focus has shifted from the production of high quality pulps to the investigation of the use of eucalypts as feedstocks for biofuel production. Here the structure and chemical composition of...

Structural and Molecular Orbital Studies of Si-Phenyl Silaanthracenes
Türker, Burhan Lemi; Gumus, Selcuk (Informa UK Limited, 2010-01-01)
The Si-phenyl derivatives of 1-, 2-, 9-silaanthracenes have been subjected to theoretical analysis with density functional theory (B3LYP/6-31G(d)) to obtain their molecular orbital properties. 2- silaanthracene has been found to be thermodynamically the most stable derivative among the trio. Moreover, the effects of the position of the Si substitution and phenyl attachment on the aromaticity of the parent anthracene have been investigated by NICS calculations at ring centers. The structures have been found ...
