Bu proje Navier-Stokes denklemlerini içeren optimal kontrol problemlerinin yaklaşık çözümlerinin geliştirilmesi üzerinedir. Bu problemler genel çerçevede, süreksiz Galerkin sonlu elemanlar yöntemi ve model indirgeme metodu kullanılarak incelenecektir. Aynı zamanda, kısmi diferansiyel denklem çözümlerinde alan ayrıştırma (domain decomposition) yönteminin de uygulanması planlanmaktadır. Bu sayede bu denklemlerin gerçek çözümlerine hesapsal ve zamansal tasarruf sağlanılarak yaklaşılacaktır.
