Color-changing energy storage devices that can easily communicate with the user carry the potential to be integrated into smart electronics. In this work, nanocomposite electrochromic supercapacitor electrodes were fabricated with silver nanowire (Ag NW) network electrodes and a green to transmissive electrochromic polymer, PDOPEQ. High transparency and conductivity of Ag NW network current collectors allowed the fabrication of electrochromic supercapacitors and investigation of the spectroelectrochemical a...
Silver Nanowire Nickel Hydroxide Nanocomposites for Pseudocapacitors

Nickel hydroxide (Ni(OH)2) is commonly utilized in catalytic, sensing, energy storage and recording media. It has unique physical and chemical properties such as high redox activity, high power density, high chemical stability and cyclability. Ni(OH)2 is reported to have highly pseudocapacitive properties, which make it promising electrode materials for supercapacitors. In this work, we report on the fabrication and capacitive properties characterization of supercapacitors with nanocomposite Ni(OH)2 and sil...
Silver nanowire/chitosan nanocomposite dry electrodes for electrocardiogram
Soydan, Alper Kaan; Ünalan, Hüsnü Emrah; Department of Micro and Nanotechnology (2019)
Nanocomposites of chitosan and silver nanowires (Ag NWs) were fabricated and their mechanical, thermal, electrical and antibacterial properties were investigated. A simple solvent casting method was used for the fabrication of nanocomposites with different Ag NW loadings ranging from 1 wt.% to 40 wt.%. Nanowires showed excellent dispersion in chitosan matrix. Antibacterial properties of the Ag NW/ chitosan nanocomposites were investigated against different bacteria strains of American type culture Collectio...
