Paper Based Glucose Biosensor Using Graphene Modified with a Conducting Polymer and Gold Nanoparticles
GOKOGLAN, Tugba Ceren; KESİK, Melis; SOYLEMEZ, Saniye; YÜKSEL, Recep; Ünalan, Hüsnü Emrah; Toppare, Levent Kamil (The Electrochemical Society, 2017-01-01)
In this work a novel approach was reported for glucose detection using disposable paper based electrodes consisting graphene modified with a conducting polymer, glucose oxidase (GOx) and gold nanoparticles. For the first time, a conducting polymer; poly(9,9-di-(2-ethylhexyl)-fluorenyl-2,7-diyl)-end capped with 2,5-diphenyl-1,2,4-oxadiazole (PFLO) was spread over graphene coated papers and used as a matrix for glucose detection. To finalize the desired biosensor, the enzyme GOx was immobilized with gold nano...

Textile supercapacitors-based on MnO2/SWNT/conducting polymer ternary composites
Yuksel, Recep; Ünalan, Hüsnü Emrah (2015-12-01)
This paper describes a simple and fast process for the fabrication of flexible and textile-based supercapacitors. Symmetric electrodes made up of binder-free ternary composites of manganese oxide (MnO2) nanoparticles, single walled carbon nanotubes (SWNT) and a conducting polymer (either polyaniline (PANI) or poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene)-poly( styrenesulfonate) (PEDOT: PSS)) were layer-by-layer deposited onto cotton substrates by dip coating method. Solid-state supercapacitor devices were assembled usin...
Paper Based, Expanded Graphite/Polypyrrole Nanocomposite Supercapacitors Free from Binders and Current Collectors
YÜKSEL, Recep; UYSAL, Nilperi; Aydınlı, Alptekin; Ünalan, Hüsnü Emrah (2018-01-01)
Expanded graphite (EG) - polypyrrole (PPy) hybrid nanocomposites are used for the fabrication of paper-based highly flexible supercapacitor devices. Brush-painted EG electrodes are utilized as electrodes for the electrodeposition of PPy, resulting in the formation of nanocomposite electrodes with the desired material loading. Fabricated paper-based electrodes are free from heavy current collectors, binders, and conductive additives. Within nanocomposite electrodes, expanded graphite layer on paper facilitat...
