Bölgesel yağış ölçümleri için meteoroloji radarı Hızal, Altunkan; Fer, Ferit Ahmet; Tanık, Yalçın; Canatan, Fatih; Gülçür, Özcan Halil(1984) O.D.T.Ü. Elektrik Mühendisliği Bölümünde geliştirilmesine başlanan bilqisayar destekli meteoroloji radar dizgesi tanıtılmakta, niceliksel yağış ölçmelerinin bu yöntemle yapılmasında ortaya çıkan sorunlara değinilmektedir. Yapılan çalışmalar özetlenerek, bilgisayar denetiminde radarın döndürülmesi için sistem, radar-bilgisayar iletişimi için donanım, yankı darbe entegratörü, erim normalizasyon aygıtı ve yağmurdan yansıma analizi çalışmaları tanıtılmaktadır.
