In recent years, there has been a rapid growth in the aging population worldwide. The significant increase in the aging population has drawn attention to the multidimensional needs of older adults. Through the last two decades, researchers in Western countries put an increased interest into aging issues and older adults. However, in Turkey, research and counseling practices related to older adults has remained rather limited. Considering the growing older adult population in our country, as well, it has become a necessity to cite the literature base in the field of guidance and counseling in relation to older adults.
