By using the quark part of the energy-momentum tensor current, the gravitational formfactors of the rho, pi, and K mesons are calculated within the light-cone sum rules method. In the considered version, the energy-momentum tensor current is not conserved and as a result, for integer spin J, there appear 4J + 2 (2J + 1) formfactors, which correspond to the conservation (nonconservation) of the energy-momentum tensor current. The average mass radius of rho, pi, and K mesons as well as the gravitational quadrupole moment of the rho meson are calculated. We also compare our results with the one existing in the literature on these quantities.

Strong coupling constants of the octet baryons to Kand pi mesons in light cone QCD sum rules
Alıyev, Tahmasıb; Özpineci, Altuğ (2007-06-20)
In this work, the strong coupling constants of the octet baryons to the K and pi mesons are studied within the Light Cone QCD sum rule method. It is well known that in the SU(3)(f) limit, these couplings can be expressed in terms of only 2 constants, so called F and D constants. In this work, the SU(3)(f) symmetry violating effects are also studied and it is shown that all the coupling constants can be expressed in terms of four analytical functions of the quark parameters.
Magnetic moments of negative parity baryons in QCD
Alıyev, Tahmasıb; Savcı, Mustafa (2014-03-06)
Using the most general form of the interpolating current for the octet baryons, the magnetic moments of the negative-parity baryons are calculated within the light-cone sum rules. The contributions coming from diagonal transitions of the positive-parity baryons and also from a nondiagonal transition between positive-and negative-parity baryons are eliminated by considering the combinations of different sum rules corresponding to the different Lorentz structures. A comparison of our results on magnetic momen...
Magnetic dipole moments of the negative parity J(PC)=2(--) mesons in QCD
Alıyev, Tahmasıb; Savcı, Mustafa (2018-04-18)
Magnetic dipole moments of the negative parity light and heavy tensor mesons are calculated within the light cone QCD sum rules method. The results are compared with the positive parity counterparts of the corresponding tensor mesons. The results of the analysis show that the magnetic dipole moments of the negative parity light mesons are smaller compared to those of the positive parity mesons. Contrary to the light meson case, magnetic dipole moments of the negative parity heavy mesons are larger than the ...
Casimir energy of the massless conformal scalar field on S-2 by the point-splitting method
Bayin, SS; Ozcan, M (1997-10-01)
We calculate the Casimir energy of the massless conformal scalar held on the surface (S-2) of a 3 dimensional Riemann sphere by using the point-splitting, mode sum and the zeta-function renormalization methods. We also consider the half space case with both the Dirichlet and the Neumann boundary conditions. This problem is interesting since the Casimir energy could be calculated analytically by various methods, thus allowing us to compare different regularization schemes. Strong coupling constant of negative parity octet baryons with light pseudoscalar mesons in light cone QCD sum rules
Alıyev, Tahmasıb; Savcı, Mustafa (Elsevier BV, 2017-01-01)
The strong coupling constants of the pi and K mesons with negative parity octet baryons are estimated within the light cone QCD sum rules. It is observed that all strong coupling constants, similarly to the case for the positive parity baryons, can be described in terms of three invariant functions, where two of them correspond to the well known F and D couplings in the SU (3)(f) symmetry, and the third function describes the SU(3)(f) symmetry violating effects. We compare our predictions on the strong coup...
