Growth of spinodal instabilities in nuclear matter. II. Asymmetric matter
ACAR, FERİDE PINAR; Ayik, S.; Yılmaz, Osman; GÖKALP, AHMET (2015-09-11)
As an extension of our previous work, the growth of density fluctuations in the spinodal region of charge asymmetric nuclear matter is investigated in the basis of the stochastic mean-field approach in the nonrelativistic framework. A complete treatment of density correlation functions is presented by including collective modes and noncollective modes.
Growth of gold films on quartz surfaces for quartz crystal microbalance application
Özkan, Berrin; Danışman, Mehmet Fatih; Department of Chemistry (2010)
In this study, we have investigated the effect of substrate temperature, use of adhesive layer, deposition rate, annealing and substrate prebaking on the morphology of gold films deposited onto quartz surfaces. For the film growth, physical vapor deposition methods namely electron beam and thermal depositions have been used. Surface morphology of the films have been characterized with atomic force microscopy. Our aim was to confirm the general trends observed for these parameters in our evaporator system fo...
Growth of the algae Chlorella vulgaris at the photobioreactor and extraction of fatty acids for biodiesel production
Ertürk, Handan; Öktem, Hüseyin Avni (null; 2017-09-07)
Microalga is known to have higher lipid contents and biodiesel efficiency than most plant oil sources e.g. palm oil. We conduct algae research at our laboratory in Konya, Turkey. We studied the growth of Chlorella vulgaris at the photobioreactor in our laboratory first. We aimed to use this photobioreactor of lab scale as feed stream to an open pond larger scale bioreactor for future work. Photobioreactor had three compartments which had separate controls for light and air circulation. Temperature was kept ...

Growth of spinodal instabilities in nuclear matter
Yılmaz, Osman; ACAR, FERİDE PINAR; GÖKALP, AHMET (2015-01-12)
Early growth of density fluctuations of nuclear matter in the spinodal region is investigated employing the stochastic mean-field approach. In contrast to the earlier treatments in which only collective modes were included in the calculations, in the present work noncollective modes are also included, thus providing a complete treatment of the density correlation functions. Calculations are carried out for symmetric matter in a nonrelativistic framework using a semiclassical approximation.
