Bu çalışmada, son yıllarda göreve uyumlu havacılık yapıları ve malzemelerinin üretim teknolojilerindeki gelişmelerle ortaya çıkan ve uçakların havadayken farklı görev evrelerinde (dalış, tırmanma, düz uçuş, dönüş, bekleme, vb.) en iyi performansı verebilecek şekilde uçabilmesini sağlayabilecek, büyük oranda şekil değiştirebilen (fully morphing) kanatların aerodinamik ve yapısal tasarım süreci ve en iyileştirilmesi üzerine izlenen yol anlatılmıştır.
