DFM: A Performance Baseline for Deep Feature Matching
Efe, Ufuk; Ince, Kutalmis Gokalp; Alatan, Abdullah Aydın (2021-01-01)
A novel image matching method is proposed that utilizes learned features extracted by an off-the-shelf deep neural network to obtain a promising performance. The proposed method uses pre-trained VGG architecture as a feature extractor and does not require any additional training specific to improve matching. Inspired by well-established concepts in the psychology area, such as the Mental Rotation paradigm, an initial warping is performed as a result of a preliminary geometric transformation estimate. These ...

DFT Studies on eta(6)-Coronene-Cr(CO)(3) Complexes
Türker, Burhan Lemi; Guemues, Selcuk (2009-01-01)
Two types of Cr(CO)(3) complexes of coronene have been considered theoretically at the level of DFT (B3LYP/6-31G(d)), in order to investigate some molecular orbital, electronic and thermodynamic properties. The effect of complexation on the stability and aromaticity of coronene has been investigated by NICS calculations. According to the results, both in the gas phase and in aqueous solution, B-type complex has been found to be more stable than the A-type, however, the energy difference is such that B to A ...
DFT study of Rb/Si(100)-2 x 1 system
Mete, E; Shaltaf, R; Ellialtıoğlu, Süleyman Şinasi (Elsevier BV, 2005-06-01)
We have investigated Rb adsorption on the Si(100) surface for 0.5 and 1 monolayer coverages using the total energy method with norm-conserving pseudopotentials. For 2 x 1 reconstruction at 1 ML coverage symmetrized dimers are found to be energetically more favorable. On the other hand, half a ML coverage is found to have symmetrical dimers only for the most stable adsorption model. All possible surface-adatom configurations have been considered in the calculations to find which adsorption sites are energeti...
CdZnTe Bulk Crystal Growth and Temperature Modeling Studies at METU-CGL
Balbaşı, Özden Başar; DOĞRU, ÇİĞDEM; Kabukcuoglu, Merve; Ünal, Mustafa; Parlak, Mehmet; Turan, Raşit (2018-08-21)
Cadmium Zinc Telluride (Cd1-xZnxTe) has become a crucial material for X-ray and gamma ray detection due to its wide band-gap, high atomic number and high density, which offer high efficiency and sharp spectroscopic resolution at room temperature. In addition, due to being lattice matched, it can also be used as substrate for the epitaxial growth of HgCdTe that can be used for infrared detection with high resolution. Hence, increasing the single crystal yield of CdZnTe from the grown ingot gained importance ...
