The effect of heat treatment on the properties of peek and its carbon fibre composites
Kalay, Gürhan; Ankara, Alpay; Department of Metallurgical Engineering (1990)
The effect of substrate and post-annealing temperature on the structural and optical properties of polycrystalline InSe thin films
Parlak, Mehmet (Elsevier BV, 1998-06-08)
X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscopy, compositional analysis and transmission measurements are performed on InSe thin films grown by thermal evaporation at different substrate and annealing temperatures of 150-250 degrees C and 100-200 degrees C, respectively. An analysis of structural measurements indicates that there exist three phases of In-Se system like InSe, In2Se3 and In6Se7 in the same film at low-substrate temperature, but at high-substrate temperatures, In2Se3 phase was absent. The comp...
The effect of hydrogen on the electronic, mechanical and phonon properties of LaMgNi4 and its hydrides for hydrogen storage applications
Baysal, M. B.; SÜRÜCÜ, GÖKHAN; DELİGÖZ, ENGİN; ÖZIŞIK, HAVVA (Elsevier BV, 2018-12-27)
Density functional theory calculations are used herein to explore the effect of hydrogen on the electronic, mechanical and phonon properties of LaMgNi4 and its hydrides. The polycrystalline elastic moduli, Poisson's ratios and Debye temperatures are calculated based on the single-crystal elastic constants and Voigt-Reuss-Hill approximations. It is also found that all these materials are metallic behavior, ductile and anisotropic in nature. The mechanical anisotropy is discussed via several anisotropy indice...
The effects of zinc nitrate, zinc acetate and zinc chloride precursors on investigation of structural and optical properties of ZnO thin films
BACAKSIZ, EMİN; Parlak, Mehmet; TOMAKİN, MURAT; Ozcelik, A.; Karakiz, M.; Altunbas, M. (2008-10-20)
ZnO thin films were prepared using zinc chloride, zinc acetate and zinc nitrate precursors by spray pyrolysis technique oil glass substrates at 550 degrees C. Structural and optical properties of ZnO films were investigated by X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscope (SEM) and optical transmittance spectra. Regardless of precursors, ZnO thin films are all in hexagonal crystallographic phase and have to (0 0 2) preferred orientation. SEM images show completely different surface morphologies for ...
The effect of particle size distribution on the properties of blended cements incorporating GGBFS and natural pozzolan (NP)
Binici, Hanifi; Aksogan, Orhan; Cagatay, Ismail H.; Tokyay, Mustafa; Emsen, Engin (2007-08-25)
This paper investigates the effect of particle size distribution on the properties of blended cements incorporating ground granulated blast-furnace slag (GGBFS) and natural pozzolan (NP). Pure Portland cement (PPC), NP and GGBFS were used to obtain blended cements that contain 10, 20, 30% additives. The cements were produced by intergrinding and separate grinding and then blending. Each group had two different Blaine fineness of 280 m(2)/g and 480 m(2)/g. According to the particle size distribution (PSD) cu...
