Component extraction analysis of multivariate time series
Akman, I; DeGooijer, JG (1996-05-01)
A method for modelling several observed parallel time series is proposed. The method involves seeking possible common underlying pure AR and MA components in the series. The common components are forced to be mutually uncorrelated so that univariate time series modelling and forecasting techniques can be applied. The proposed method is shown to be a useful addition to the time series analyst's toolkit, if common sources of variation in multivariate data need to be quickly identified.
Component Oriented design based on Axiomatic Design Theory and COSEML
toğay, Cengiz; Doğru, Ali Hikmet (2006-11-03)
A Component Oriented software development method is proposed that uses collaboration diagrams for the definitions of dependencies among the Functional Requirements and Design Parameters according to Axiomatic Design Theory. COSEML is a component oriented graphical modeling language utilizing a single hierarchy diagram to construct systems. Axiomatic design theory provides a systematic approach to application design where developers can see all the determined dependencies among functional requirements and so...

Component damage functions for reinforced concrete frame structures
Erduran, Emrah; Yakut, Ahmet (Elsevier BV, 2007-09-01)
Displacement-based damage functions for the components of reinforced concrete (RC) moment resisting frames have been developed. columns, beams and brick infills were considered in this study as the structural elements that contribute to the seismic behavior of RC resisting frames. Finite element analyses were carried out on RC columns and beams to investigate effects of their material and properties on the behavior of these elements, and also to develop the damage functions. The independent parameter used i...
