Anomalous magnetic moment of the muon in the two Higgs doublet model
Iltan, EO; Sundu, H (2003-02-01)
We calculate the new physics effects on the anomalous magnetic moment of the muon in the framework of the two Higgs doublet model. We predict an upper bound for the lepton flavor violating coupling, which is responsible for the point like interaction between muon and tau, by using the uncertainty in the experimental result of the muon anomalous magnetic moment. We show that the upper bound predicted is more stringent compared to the one which is obtained by using the experimental result of the muon electric...
Anomalous magnetic moment effects in the radiative decay tau(-)->nu(tau)+pi(-)+gamma
Pak, Namık Kemal; Rekalo, MP; Yilmaz, T (IOP Publishing, 1997-11-01)
We have calculated the differential probability of the radiative decay, tau(-) --> upsilon(tau) + pi(-) + gamma, of the tau-lepton carrying an anomalous magnetic moment. Taking into account both the inner bremsstrahlung and the structure-dependent radiation contributions, we computed the double differential probability. Observables, which are particularly suitable for the full reconstruction of the vector and axial form factors, are identified and implications for the measurement of the anomalous magnetic m...

Anomalous dispersion in gravity theories
Altas, Emel; Kilicarslan, Ercan; Tekin, Bayram (2022-03-01)
A wave pulse (be it a gravitational wave or a light wave) undergoes anomalous dispersion in a vacuum in flat spacetimes with an even number of spatial dimensions even if all the frequencies move at the same speed. Such an anomalous dispersion does not occur in spacetimes with an odd number of spatial dimensions. We study various gravity theories and show that dispersion-free propagation is possible in even number of spatial dimensions if the background is not the Minkowski but the de Sitter spacetime and th...
THERMODYNAMICS AND STRUCTURE OF LIQUID BINARY-ALLOYS CALCULATED USING AN ANALYTIC PAIR POTENTIAL
DALGIC, SS; DALGIC, S; DERELI, G; Tomak, Mehmet (1994-07-01)
Analytic pair potentials proposed by Pettifor and Ward are developed using the Heine-Abarenkov pseudopotential for Li-Na, Na-K, and Na-Cs liquid binary alloys. The corresponding partial structure factors are calculated using the random-phase approximation. The calculated thermodynamic and structural properties using this real-space formalism are in good agreement with experiments.
