The Order-Disorder Phase Transformation in Ni3Fe and Ni3(Fe,Nb) Alloys
Doyama, Masao; Mehrabov, Amdulla (1985-01-06)
The Effect of physical properties of the ELP-collagen based patterned surfaces on cell attachment and deformation
Antmen, Ezgi; Hasırcı, Vasıf Nejat; Demirci, Utkan; Department of Biology (2013)
Cell and substrate interactions are important in tissue engineering products especially on the behavior of the cells such as adhesion, migration, proliferation, and differentiation. These have been widely studied using substrates with different physical, chemical, and mechanical properties and form. In this study, elastin-like recombinamers (ELRs) were used blended with collagen or only collagen as the surface material. The ELR used in this study has Valine-Proline-Glycine-X-Glycine aminoacid sequences in i...
The nonlinear and saturable absorption characteristics of Ga0.90In0.10Se and Ga0.85In0.15Se semiconductor crystals and their amorphous thin films
KARATAY, AHMET; Aksoy, Cagla; YAĞLIOĞLU, HALİME GÜL; ELMALI, Ayhan; Kurum, Ulas; ATEŞ, AYTÜNÇ; Hasanlı, Nızamı (IOP Publishing, 2011-07-01)
We investigated the nonlinear and saturable absorption characteristics of Ga0.90In0.10Se and Ga0.85In0.15Se semiconductor crystals and their very thin amorphous films by open aperture (OA) Z-scan and pump-probe techniques. The linear absorption spectra indicated a blue shift in energy with increasing film thickness. This can be attributed to the quantum confinement effect. For both 4 ns and 65 ps pulse durations the two photon absorption coefficients of Ga0.90In0.10Se and Ga0.85In0.15Se crystals increased w...
The temperature profile and bias dependent series resistance of Au/Bi4Ti3O12/SiO2/n-Si (MFIS) structures
Altindal, S.; Parlaktuerk, F.; Tataroglu, A.; Parlak, Mehmet; Sarmasov, S. N.; Agasiev, A. A. (Elsevier BV, 2008-06-19)
The Bi4Ti3O12 (BTO) thin film were fabricated on an n-type Si substrate and annealed by rapid thermal annealing methods. The temperature dependence of capacitance-voltage (C-V) and conductance-voltage (G/omega-V) characteristics of the Au/Bi4Ti3O12/SiO2/n-Si metal-ferroelectric-insulator-semiconductor (MFIS) structures was investigated by taking the effects of series resistance (R-s) and interface states (N-ss) in the temperature range of 80-400 K. Both the density of interface states N-ss and series resist...
The evolution of the magnetic moment in a corrugated magnetic field
Demokan, O; Mirnov, VV (1997-09-01)
In the first part, the equations of motion in a weakly corrugated, periodic magnetic field are linearized and solved by using paraxial approximation, to describe the model and the associated resonance condition. In the second part, the nonlinear evolution of the magnetic moment of resonant particles, in connection with their axial displacement is investigated analytically by using the multiple scale method. It is seen that the linear evolution is converted into a slow and periodic oscillation around the unp...
