2-Dodecyl benzotriazole and 9,9-dioctylfluorene containing alternating copolymers poly((9,9-dioctylfluorene)-2,7-diyl-(2-dodecyl-benzo[1,2,3]triazole)) (P1), poly((9,9-dioc-tylfluorene)-2,7-diyl-(4,7-bis(thien-2-yl) 2-dodecyl benzo[1,2,3]triazole)) (P2), poly((9,9 dioctylfluorene)-2,7-diyl-(4,7-bis(3-hexylthien-5-yl) 2-dodecyl-benzo[1,2,3]triazole)) (P3) were synthesized via Suzuki polycondensation. Synthesized monomers and copolymers were characterized by Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (1H-NMR, 13C-NMR). Optical and electronic properties of resulting alternating copolymers were investigated by means of Cyclic Voltammetry (CV), Ultraviolet–Visible Spectroscopy and spectroelectrochemistry. All three polymers showed both p and n doping behaviors and multicolored electrochromic states. In order to learn switchingtimes and percent transmittance changes kinetic studies were also performed. Thermal properties of the polymers were investigated via Thermogravimetric Analysis (TGA) and Differential Scanning Calorimetry (DSC). Due to the convenient HOMO and LUMO levels, band gaps, strong absorptions in the visible region and thermal stability, polymers were tested in Organic Solar Cell (OSC) device applications. The preliminary investigation indicated that polymers had promising power conversion efficiencies.

2-Dodecyl benzotriazole and 9,9-dioctylfluorene containing alternating copolymers poly((9,9-dioctylfluorene)-2,7-diyl-(2-dodecyl-benzo[1,2,3]triazole)) (P1), poly((9,9-dioctylfluorene)-2,7-diyl-(4,7-bis(thien-2-yl) 2-dodecyl-benzo[1,2,3]triazole)) (P2), poly((9,9-dioctylfluorene)-2,7-diyl-(4,7-bis(3-hexylthien-5-yl) 2-dodecyl benzo[1,2,3]triazole)) (P3) were synthesized via a typical Suzuki coupling polymerization. UV-vis and electrochemical studies indicated that polymers have desirable HOMO-LUMO and band ...

Donor-acceptor poly(thiophene-block-perylene diimide) copolymers: Synthesis and solar cell fabrication
ZHANG, Qingling; Çırpan, Ali; RUSSELL, Thomas P.; EMRICK, Todd (2009-02-24)
Donor-acceptor diblock copolymers, composed of regioregular Poly(3-hexylthiophene) (rrP3HT) as the electron donor block and poly(perylene diimide acrylate) (PPDA) as the electron acceptor block, were prepared and used to fabricate a solar cell. Vinyl-terminated rrP3HT was synthesized by Grignard metathesis polymerization and converted to an alkoxyamine macroinitiator. This polythiophene macroinitiator was used in controlled free radical polymerization of a perylene diimide-containing acrylate. The targeted ...
Strictly singular operators and isomorphisms of Cartesian products of power series spaces
Djakov, PB; Onal, S; Terzioglu, T; Yurdakul, Murat Hayrettin (1998-01-02)
V. P. Zahariuta, in 1973, used the theory of Fredholm operators to develop a method to classify Cartesian products of locally convex spaces. In this work we modify his method to study the isomorphic classification of Cartesian products of the kind E-0(p)(a) x E-infinity(q) (b) where 1 less than or equal to p, q < infinity, p not equal q, a = (a(n))(n=1)(infinity) and b = (b(n))(n=1)(infinity) are sequences of positive numbers and E-0(p)(a), E(infinity)q(b) are respectively l(p)-finite and l(q)-infinite type...
