In the present work some hadronic properties of the scalar κ meson are studied. Using the QCD sum rules approach, which is a nonperturbative method, the mass and the overlap amplitude of this meson are calculated. As well as the mass and the overlap amplitude, κ → K^+π^− decay is also studied. For this decay the coupling constant g_κK^+π^− is obtained using light cone QCD sum rules which is an extension of the QCD sum rules method. Moreover, the coupling constant is calculated using the experimental decay width and it is compared with the value obtained in light cone QCD sum rules approach. The result of the calculation of g_κK^+π^− , the one obtained from light cone QCD sum rules approach, is also applied to acquire the f_0 − σ scalar mixing angle, θs, using the ratio g^2 (κ → K^+π^−)/g^2 (σ → ππ) obtained from experimental decay width. The value of scalar mixing angle is also compared with its experimental results.

Investigations of spinodal dynamics in asymmetric nuclear matter within a stochastic relativistic model
Yılmaz, Osman; ACAR, FERİDE PINAR; Saatci, S.; GÖKALP, AHMET (Springer Science and Business Media LLC, 2013-03-01)
Early development of spinodal instabilities and density correlation functions in asymmetric nuclear matter are investigated in the stochastic extension of the Walecka-type relativistic mean field including coupling with rho meson. Calculations are performed under typical conditions encountered in heavy-ion collisions and in the crusts of neutron stars. In general, growth of instabilities occur relatively slower for increasing charge asymmetry of matter. At higher densities around rho = 0.4 rho(0) fluctuatio...
Analysis of exclusive B-s -> D-s0(2317)l(v)over-bar(e) decay with QCD sum rules
Alıyev, Tahmasıb; Savcı, Mustafa (American Physical Society (APS), 2006-06-01)
The transition form factors of the semileptonic decay B-s into scalar D-s0(2317) meson is calculated in the framework of 3-point QCD sum rule. The branching ratio is found to be similar to 10(-3) for the B-s -> D-s0(2317)center dot(v) over bar (center dot)(center dot=e,mu) decay, and similar to 10(-4) for the B-s -> D-s0(2317)tau(v) over bar (tau) decay, respectively.
Measurement of the X(3872) production cross section via decays to J/psi pi(+)pi(-) in pp collisions at root s=7 TeV
Chatrchyan, S.; et. al. (Springer Science and Business Media LLC, 2013-04-01)
The production of the X(3872) is studied in pp collisions at root s = 7TeV, using decays to J/psi pi(+)pi(-), where the J/psi decays to two muons. The data were recorded by the CMS experiment and correspond to an integrated luminosity of 4.8 fb(-1). The measurements are performed in a kinematic range in which the X(3872) candidates have a transverse momentum 10 < p(T) < 50 GeV and rapidity vertical bar y vertical bar < 1.2. The ratio of the X(3872) and (2S) cross sections times their branching fractions int...
Properties of excited B-c states in QCD
Alıyev, Tahmasıb; Bilmiş, Selçuk (Elsevier BV, 2019-10-01)
The mass and leptonic decay constants of recently observed two new excited B-c states at LHC are studied within the QCD sum rules. Considering the contributions of the ground and radially excited states, the mass and residues of the excited states of pseudoscalar and vector mesons are calculated in the framework of two different approaches of the QCD sum rules, namely, linear combinations of the corresponding sum rules and its derivatives as well as QCD sum rules with the incorporation of the least square f...
Analysis of rare B -> K-0(*)(1430)l(+)l(-) decay within QCD sum rules
Azizi, K.; Alıyev, Tahmasıb; Savcı, Mustafa (American Physical Society (APS), 2007-10-01)
Form factors of rare B -> K-0(*)(1430)l(+)l(-) decay are calculated within three-point QCD sum rules, with K-0(*)(1430) being the p-wave scalar meson. The branching ratios are estimated when only short, as well as short and long distance effects, are taken into account. It is obtained that the B -> K-0(*)(1430)l(+)l(-) (l=e, mu) decay is measurable at LHC. Measurement of these branching ratios for the semileptonic rare B -> K-0(*)(1430)l(+)l(-) can give valuable information about the nature of scalar meson ...
