LOOKING FOR E6 MODEL MANIFESTATIONS IN TAU-DECAYS

1993-04-01
Possible manifestations of the E6 model in tau decays are considered, and the difference between the standard model with four families and E6 model predictions are discussed. It is shown that the normalized energy spectrum of the charged final lepton in tau decays is an effective tool for establishing new physics predicted by the E6 model.

TAU-MU-E NONUNIVERSALITY AS INDICATION OF ORDINARY AND EXOTIC LEPTON MIXING
Alıyev, Tahmasıb; YILMAZ, O (1992-09-17)
Possible deviations from the tau-mu-e universality are discussed in the framework of the standard model with four families and in that of the E6 model. It is shown that the experimental study of spin asymmetry in the process e+e- --> Z --> tau+tau- will give direct information on the real tau-nonuniversality due to the mixing of the usual and exotic fermions.
Absence of topological effects in the gauged SU(2) nonlinearσmodel in 2+1 dimensions
Pak, NAMIK KEMAL; Percacci, R. (American Physical Society (APS), 1987-10-15)
We first review the θ sectors of the pure SU(2) nonlinear σ model and the quantization of the topological mass in the SU(2) Yang-Mills theory in 2+1 dimensions. We then show that when the two models are coupled the θ sectors disappear and the topological mass need not be quantized. We work in a canonical formalism and emphasize the role of functional magnetic fields.
Search for Pair Production of Third-Generation Leptoquarks and Top Squarks in pp Collisions at root s=7 TeV
Chatrchyan, S.; et. al. (American Physical Society (APS), 2013-02-01)
Results are presented from a search for the pair production of third-generation scalar and vector leptoquarks, as well as for top squarks in R-parity-violating supersymmetric models. In either scenario, the new, heavy particle decays into a tau lepton and a b quark. The search is based on a data sample of pp collisions at root s = 7 TeV, which is collected by the CMS detector at the LHC and corresponds to an integrated luminosity of 4.8 fb(-1). The number of observed events is found to be in agreement with ...
Bound energy masses of mesons containing the fourth generation and iso-singlet quarks
Ikhdair, Sameer M.; Sever, Ramazan (World Scientific Pub Co Pte Lt, 2006-04-20)
The fourth Standard Model (SM) family quarks and weak iso-singlet quarks predicted by E-6 GUT are considered. The spin-average of the pseudoscalar eta(4)(n(1)S(0)) and vector psi(4)(n(3)S(1)) quarkonium binding masses of the new mesons formed by the fourth Standard Model (SM) family and iso-singlet E-6 with their mixings to ordinary quarks are investigated. Further, the fine and hyperfine mass splittings of the these states are also calculated. We solved the Schrodinger equation with logarithmic-and Martin ...
Searches for Higgs bosons in pp collisions at root s=7 and 8 TeV in the context of four-generation and fermiophobic models
Chatrchyan, S.; et. al. (Elsevier BV, 2013-08-01)
Searches are reported for Higgs bosons in the context of either the standard model extended to include a fourth generation of fermions (SM4) with masses of up to 600 GeV or fermiophobic models. For the former, results from three decay modes (tau tau, WW, and ZZ) are combined, whilst for the latter the diphoton decay is exploited. The analysed proton-proton collision data correspond to integrated luminosities of up to 5.1 fb(-1) at 7 TeV and up to 5.3 fb(-1) at 8 TeV. The observed results exclude the SM4 Hig...
