Intelligent Healthcare Monitoring based on a Semantic Interoperability Platform (SAPHIRE)
Doğaç, Asuman(2008-6-30)
The SAPHIRE project aims to develop an intelligent healthcare monitoring and decision support system on a platform integrating the wireless medical sensor data with hospital information systems. In the SAPHIRE project, the patient monitoring will be achieved by using agent technology where the ¿agent behavior¿ will be supported by intelligent clinical decision support systems which will be based on computerized clinical practice guidelines, and will access the patient medical history stored in medical infor...
Intelligent student assessment and coaching interface to web-based education-oriented intelligent experimentation on robot supported laboratory set-ups
Motuk, Halil Erdem; Erkmen, Aydan Müşerref; Erkmen, İsmet; Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering (2003)
This thesis presents a framework for an intelligent interface for the access of robotsupported remote laboratories through the Internet. The framework is composed of the student assessment and coaching system, the experimentation scenario, and the associated graphical user interface. Student assessment and coaching system is the main feature of a successful intelligent interface for use during remote experimentation with a robot-supported laboratory setup. The system has a modular structure employing artifi...
Intelligent learning system for online learning
Serçe, Fatma Cemile; Alpaslan, Ferda Nur; Jain, Lakhmi (2008-10-01)
The paper presents an Adaptive Intelligent Learning System (AILS) designed to be used with any Learning Management System (LMS). The adaptiveness provides uniquely identifying and monitoring the learner's learning process according to the learner's profile. AILS has been implemented as a multi-agent system. The agents were developed as JADE agents. The paper presents the learning model, system components, agent behavior in learner scenarios, the ontologies used in agent communications, and the adaptive stra...
Intelligent distributed cognitive-based open learning system for schools (ICLASS)
Akar, Gözde(2008-6-30)
The iClass project will develop an intelligent cognitive-based open learning system and environment, adapted to individual learners' needs and ensure their take-up in the education sector at a European level. This will be achieved by creating:- an advanced learning system, founded on an ontology-based architecture for sequencing of knowledge and adaptive to learner's level of understanding and learning style by dynamically creating individualized learning objects;- a distributed, collaborative environment w...
Intelligent design objects applied to the spatial allocation problem
Zaratiegui Fernandez, Javier Ignacio; Sorguç, Arzu; Computational Design and Fabrication Technologies in Department of Architecture (2014)
This thesis approaches the spatial allocation problem as a multi-objective optimization problem. It proposes the use of Intelligent Design Objects (IDO) model to help designers with this task. Solutions are generated and evaluated, according the user defined criteria. Iterative improvement is proposed as a help to visualize candidate solutions and conceive the desired spatial relations. By defining the criteria and rating it numerically, both designer and client are able compare the solutions obtained. The ...
