Leading twist light cone distribution amplitudes (LCDAs) are key ingredients in calculating various hadronic amplitudes using light cone QCD sum rules. This work concentrates on calculating the leading twist LCDAs of p-wave heavy quarkonia. Quark model wave functions for the ground, first, and second excited states of p-wave charmonia and bottomonia have been calculated and are used for calculating the relevant LCDAs and leptonic decay constants.

phi -> KK decay in light cone QCD
Alıyev, Tahmasıb; Savcı, Mustafa (Springer Science and Business Media LLC, 2003-11-01)
The coupling constant of phi --> KK decay is calculated by light cone QCD sum rules. The result obtained for g(phiKK) = (4.9 +/- 0.8) is in good agreement with the existing experimental results.
ELECTROMAGNETIC FORM-FACTOR OF D-ASTERISK-]D TRANSITION IN THE TIME-LIKE REGION
Alıyev, Tahmasıb; PAK, NK; REKALO, MP (Springer Science and Business Media LLC, 1994-12-01)
The internal conversion process D* --> De(+) e(-), and D*($) over bar D-pair production in e(+) e(-) -collisions, e(+) e(-) --> D*($) over bar D, which are described by the same electromagnetic form factor with time-like momentum transfer, have been analyzed. After carrying out a general analysis of the kinematical aspects of the one-photon mechanism has been performed and the predictions of the vector-dominance model for the D* --> D transition form factor are discussed. It is shown that use of the asympto...
Electric dipole moments of charged leptons and lepton flavor violating interactions in the general two Higgs doublet model
Iltan, EO (American Physical Society (APS), 2001-07-01)
We calculate the electric dipole moment of the electron using the experimental result of the muon electric dipole moment and upper limit of the BR(mu-->e gamma) in the framework of the general two Higgs doubler model. Our prediction is 10(-32) e cm, which lies in the experimental current limits. Further, we obtain constraints for the Yukawa couplings )over bar>(D)(N,taue) and )over bar>(D)(N,tau mu). Finally, we present an expression which connects the BR(tau-->mu gamma) and the electric dipole moment of th...
Magnetic moment of the rho meson in QCD light cone sum rules
Alıyev, Tahmasıb; Savcı, Mustafa (American Physical Society (APS), 2003-09-01)
The magnetic moment mu of the rho meson is studied in QCD light cone sum rules, and it is found that mu=(2.3+/-0.5), in units of e/2m(rho). A comparison of our result on the magnetic moment of the rho meson with the predictions of the other approaches is presented.
Spin-3/2 to spin-1/2 heavy baryons and pseudoscalar mesons transitions in QCD
Alıyev, Tahmasıb; Savcı, Mustafa (Springer Science and Business Media LLC, 2011-06-01)
The strong coupling constants of light pseudoscalar mesons with spin-3/2 and spin-1/2 heavy baryons are calculated in the framework of light cone QCD sum rules. It is shown that each class of transitions among members of the sextet spin-3/2 to sextet spin-1/2 baryons and that of the sextet spin-3/2 to spin-1/2 anti-triplet baryons is described by only one invariant function. We also estimate the widths of kinematically allowed transitions. Our results on decay widths are in good agreement with the existing ...
