The (nu) over bar (e) - e elastic scattering cross-section was measured with a CsI(Tl) scintillating crystal detector array with a total mass of 187 kg at the Kuo-Sheng Nuclear Power Station. The detectors were exposed to a reactor (nu) over bar (e) flux of 6.4 x 10(12) cm(-2)s(-1) originated from a core with 2.9 GW thermal power. Using 29882/7369 kg-days of Reactor ON/OFF data, the Standard Model (SM) of electroweak interaction was probed at the 4-momentum transfer range of Q(2) similar to 3 x 10(-6) GeV2. A cross-section ratio of R-expt = [1.08 + 0.21 (stat) + 0.16 (sys)] x R-SM was measured. Constraints on the electroweak parameters (g(V), g(A)) were placed, corresponding to a weak mixing angle measurement of sin(2)theta(W) = 0.251 +/- 0.031 (stat) +/- 0.024 (sys). Destructive interference in the SM (nu) over bar (e)-e processes was verified. Bounds on neutrino anomalous electromagnetic properties (neutrino magnetic moment and neutrino charge radius), as well as non-standard neutrino interactions were placed. We summarize the experimental details and results, and discuss projected sensitivities with realistic and feasible hardware upgrades.

Measurement of (nu)over-bar(e)-electron scattering cross section with a CsI(Tl) scintillating crystal array at the Kuo-Sheng nuclear power reactor
Deniz, M.; et. al. (2010-04-01)
The (nu) over bar - e(-) elastic scattering cross section was measured with a CsI( Tl) scintillating crystal array having a total mass of 187 kg. The detector was exposed to an average reactor (nu) over bar flux of 6.4 x 10(12) cm(-2) s(-1) at the Kuo-Sheng Nuclear Power Station. The experimental design, conceptual merits, detector hardware, data analysis, and background understanding of the experiment are presented. Using 29882/7369 kg-days of Reactor ON/OFF data, the standard model (SM) electroweak intera...
Recent RXTE/ASM and ROTSEIIId observations of EXO 2030+375 (V2246 Cygni)
Baykal, Altan; Kiziloglu, N.; Beklen, E.; Oezbey, M. (EDP Sciences, 2008-02-01)
Aims. Using the archival RXTE/ASM and SWIFT/BAT observations, the new orbital phases of type I outbursts of EXO 2030+375 are estimated. A possible correlation between the type II outburst and optical brightness variations is investigated.
Inclusive and differential measurements of the t(t)over-bar charge asymmetry in pp collisions at root s=8 TeV
Khachatryan, V.; et. al. (Elsevier BV, 2016-06-01)
The t (t) over bar charge asymmetry is measured in proton-proton collisions at a centre-of-mass energy of 8 TeV. The data, collected with the CMS experiment at the LHC, correspond to an integrated luminosity of 19.7 fb(-1). Selected events contain an electron or a muon and four or more jets, where at least one jet is identified as originating from b-quark hadronization. The inclusive charge asymmetry is found to be 0.0010 +/- 0.0068 (stat)+/- 0.0037 (syst). In addition, differential charge asymmetries as a ...
Inclusive and differential measurements of the t(t)over-bar charge asymmetry in proton-proton collisions root s=7 TeV
Chatrchyan, S.; et. al. (Elsevier BV, 2012-10-01)
The t (t) over bar charge asymmetry is measured in events containing a charged lepton (electron or muon) and at least four jets, one of which is identified as originating from b-quark hadronization. The analyzed dataset corresponds to an integrated luminosity of 5.0 fb(-1) collected with the CMS detector at the LHC. An inclusive and three differential measurements of the t (t) over bar charge asymmetry as a function of rapidity, transverse momentum, and invariant mass of the t (t) over bar system are presen...
