We investigated the copolymerization of pyrrole and N-methylpyrrole with N-vinylcarbazole (NVC) and N-ethylcarbazole. The grafting of pyrrole onto poly(N-vinylcarbazole) was examined. The resulting conducting polymers were characterized via cyclic voltammetry and conductivity measurements. Alternating copolymers were synthesized via a novel dipyrrolylcarbazole derivative.

Comparative evaluation of InAs/GaSb superlattices for mid infrared detection: p-i-n versus residual doping
Korkmaz, Melih; Kaldirim, Melih; Arikan, Bulent; SERİNCAN, UĞUR; ASLAN, BÜLENT (IOP Publishing, 2015-08-01)
We report on the opto-electronic characterization of an InAs/GaSb superlattice (SL) midwave infrared p-i-n photodetector structure (pin-SL) in comparison with the same structure with no intentional doping (i-SL). Both structures were grown on an n-GaSb substrate using molecular beam epitaxy. The nominally undoped structure (i-SL) presented p-i-n like behavior and showed a photovoltaic mode photoresponse due to the residual doping and native defects in this material system. For similar to 77 K operation, 0.7...
RADIATION-INDUCED AND ELECTROINITIATED POLYMERIZATION OF ALLYLBENZENE
SOUSY, K; USANMAZ, A; Önal, Ahmet Muhtar (Elsevier BV, 1990-08-01)
Radiation-induced and electroinitiated polymerization of allylbenzene has been investigated. Radiation-induced polymerization at room temperature was found to give mainly dimers and trimers with a maximum yield of 5%. Electroinitiated polymerization of the monomer yielded insoluble polymer films on the surface of the anode together with low molecular weight polymers in the bulk solution. The effects of temperature and monomer concentration on the rate of electroinitiated polymerization were also studied. Th...
Coexistence of parabolic and linear band crossings and electron-doped spin-gapless properties in rhombohedral type YbBO3
Yang, Tie; Cheng, Zhenxiang; Surucu, Gokhan; Wang, Xiaotian (Elsevier BV, 2020-05-15)
Very recently, a novel Dirac half-metal has been investigated in the perovskite-type lanthanum manganite (LaMnO3) by Ma et al. [1] and the half metallicity with 100% spin polarization is discovered. More remarkably, multiple linear Dirac crossings are observed around the Fermi energy level in the spin-up direction. Inspired by this work, another perovskite-type material YbBO3, which has been synthesized before, is investigated by first principles calculation. Results confirm the presence of half metallicity...
New conjugated materials containing cyano substituents for light-emitting diodes
Çırpan, Ali; Günbaş, Emrullah Görkem; KARASZ, Frank E. (Elsevier BV, 2006-02-01)
New electroluminescent cyano-substituted phenylenevinylene (PV) monomeric and oligomeric chromophores, 1–3, were synthesized by Knoevenagel condensation and investigated in terms of their photoluminescence (PL) and electroluminescence (EL) behavior. All show PL emission maxima between 463 and 471 nm in solution with quantum efficiencies of 0.65, 0.46 and 0.68, respectively. EL maxima in an LED configuration ITO/PEDOT–PSS/1–3/Ca–Al were 507, 518 and 551 nm with luminance efficiencies 0.01, 0.05 and 0.02 cd/A...
POLY(3-PHENYL AZOPYRROLE)S - A NEW CLASS OF CONDUCTING POLYMERS IN THE POLY(PYRROLE) SERIES
VOIGT, M; HALLENSLEBEN, ML; Toppare, Levent Kamil (Elsevier BV, 1993-03-22)
Several monosubstituted 3-arylazopyrrole derivatives were synthesized for the first time. The oxidation potentials were correlated to the Hammett constants of the substituents. Cyclic voltammetry studies revealed several interesting, features concerning the new compounds. Electrochemical homopolymerizations as well as copolymerization with pyrrole were performed.
