Anisotropy of electrical resistivity and hole mobility in InTe single crystals
Parlak, Mehmet; Günal, İbrahim; Hasanlı, Nızamı (Wiley, 1996-01-01)
The temperature dependences of the electrical resistivity and Hall mobility of p-type InTe chain single crystals in parallel and perpendicular directions to c-axis have been investigated in the temperature range of 28-260 K. The high anisotropy between rho(parallel to) and rho(perpendicular to) which depends on temperature is attributed to high concentration of stacking faults due to weak interchain bonding. The mobility parallel to c-axis was found to vary with temperature as mu proportional to T-n where n...

Anisotropic behaviors in polycrystalline Cd-doped GaSe thin films
Colakoglu, T.; Parlak, Mehmet (Springer Science and Business Media LLC, 2006-12-01)
GaSe thin films were deposited by thermal evaporation technique with Cd doping. X-ray diffraction analysis showed that Cd-doped films have polycrystalline structure with the preferred orientation along ( 008) direction. Temperature dependent electrical conductivity measurements were carried out in the temperature range of 100 - 400 K along perpendicular and parallel directions to the growth direction for the films exhibiting p-type conduction determined by hot probe technique. The room temperature conductiv...
Anisotropic mechanical properties of Tl4Ag18Te11 compound with low thermal conductivity
Gencer, Ayşenur; Surucu, Ozge; Surucu, Gokhan; DELİGÖZ, ENGİN (Elsevier BV, 2020-09-01)
The anisotropic mechanical properties of Tl4Ag18Te11 compound was investigated elaborately for the first time by using Density Functional Theory calculations with the Vienna Ab-initio Simulation Package in this work. Tl4Ag18Te11 compound was optimized in the I4mm space group and the formation energy was determined as a negative value that is the indication of the experimental synthesizability of this compound. The optimized crystal structure was employed for the calculations of the elastic constants and the...
