Intrinsic photoconductivities of P3HT polymers were measured and compared by using optical pump-THz probe spectroscopy. The charge carrier mobility shows a clear dependence on the molecular weight and dispersion index of the polymers.

Optical characterization of CuIn5S8 crystals by ellipsometry measurements
IŞIK, MEHMET; Gasanly, Nizami (2016-04-01)
Optical properties of CuIn5S8 crystals grown by Bridgman method were investigated by ellipsometry measurements. Spectral dependence of optical parameters; real and imaginary parts of the pseudodielectric function, pseudorefractive index, pseudoextinction coefficient, reflectivity and absorption coefficients were obtained from the analysis of ellipsometry experiments performed in the 1.2-6.2 eV spectral region. Analysis of spectral dependence of the absorption coefficient revealed the existence of direct ban...
Photoconductivity of P3HT films measured by time-resolved THz spectroscopy
Esentürk, Okan; Heilweil, Edwin J. (Optical Society of America (OSA); 2007-01-01)
Photoconductivities of P3HT polymer films varying in molecular weight were directly measured and compared using optical pump-THz probe spectroscopy. Conductivities of P3HT polymers depend on the polymer length, ring orientation regularity and film morphology. © 2007 Optical Society of America.
Specific features of the optical spectra in Tl2In2S3Se layered single crystals
Hasanlı, Nızamı; Güler, Işıkhan (2007-06-01)
The optical properties of Tl2In2S3Se layered single crystals have been studied by means of transmission and reflection measurements in the wavelength range of 450-1100 nm. The analysis of the absorption data revealed the presence of both optical indirect and direct transitions with energy band gaps of 2.16 and 2.42 eV, respectively. The observed coexistence of indirect and direct energy band gaps is related to the anisotropy of the TI-containing layered crystals. The dispersion of the refractive index is di...
Photoluminescence specroscopy of CdS and GaSe
Seyhan, Ayşe; Turan, Raşit; Department of Physics (2003)
With the use of photoluminescence (PL) spectroscopy one can able to get a great deal of information about electronic structure and optical processes in semiconductors by the aid of optical characterization. Among various compound semiconductors, Cadmium Sulfide (CdS) and Gallium Selenide (GaSe) are interesting materials for their PL emissions. Particularly, due to its strong anisotropy, investigation of GaSe necessitates new experimental approaches to the PL technique. We have designed, fabricated and used ...
Effective mass and peculiarity of optical properties of Cadmium Sulfide nanoparticles
Muradov, M. B.; Eyvazova, G. M.; Turan, Raşit; Maharramov, A. M. (2008-12-01)
X-ray diffraction data, electron microscope and optical properties of cadmium sulfide nanoparticles were analyzed. It is shown that the value of the reduced effective mass of charge carriers in nanoparticles differs from bulk crystals. Changes of effective mass and "red shift" in values of band gap are explained by the occurrence of additional electronic potential in nanoparticles.
