The independent helicity amplitudes in the Lambda(b) -> Lambda l(+)l(-) decay in the standard model and its minimal extension, i.e., with the new vector type interactions, are calculated. We calculate various asymmetry parameters characterizing the angular dependence of the differential decay width for the cascade decay Lambda(b) -> Lambda(-> a+b) V*(-> l(+)l(-)) with polarized and unpolarized heavy baryons. The sensitivity of the asymmetry parameters to the new Wilson coefficients are analyzed.

The effects of fourth generation on the total branching ratio and the lepton polarization in Lambda(b)->Lambda l(+) l(-) decay
Bashiry, Vali; Azizi, Kazem (2007-07-01)
This study investigates the influence of the fourth generation quarks on the total branching ratio and the single lepton polarizations in Lambda(b) -> Lambda l(+)l(-) decay. Taking vertical bar Vt ' sVt ' b vertical bar similar to {0.01-0.03} with phase just below 90 degrees, which is consistent with the b -> sl(+)l(-) rate and the B-s mixing parameter Delta(mBs), we obtain that the total branching ratio and the single lepton (mu,tau) polarizations are quite sensitive to the existence of fourth generation. ...
The exclusive Lambda(b)->Lambda l(+)l(-) decay with the fourth generation
Turan, Gürsevil (2005-05-01)
The exclusive Lambda(b)->Lambda l(+)l(-) decay is analyzed in the fourth generation model. We studied the sensitivity of the physical observables such as the branching ratio and the forward-backward asymmetry of this process to the model parameters, namely, the mass of the fourth generation up-type quark t' and the fourth generation CKM matrix element V-t's*V-t'b by using two possible solutions of the latter and the experimental results on branching ratios for B-s -> X-s gamma and Bs -> X(c)l nu overbar. It...
The effects of non-universal extra dimensions on the radiative lepton flavor decays mu -> e gamma and tau ->mu gamma in the two Higgs doublet model
Iltan, EO (2004-08-01)
We study the effect of non-universal extra dimensions on the branching ratios of the lepton flavor violating processes mu --> egamma and tau --> mugamma in the general two Higgs doublet model. We observe that these effects are small for a single extra dimension, however, in the case of two extra dimensions there is a considerable enhancement in the additional contributions.
New physics effects in Lambda(b)->Lambda l(+)l(-) decay with lepton polarizations
Alıyev, Tahmasıb; Özpineci, Altuğ; Savcı, Mustafa (2002-06-01)
We study lepton polarization asymmetries in the Lambda(b)-->Lambdal(+)l(-) decay using the most general model independent effective Hamiltonian. The dependence of the lepton polarizations and their combinations on the new Wilson coefficients are studied in detail. It is observed that there is a region for the new Wilson coefficients for which the branching ratio coincides with the standard model prediction, while lepton polarizations show considerable departure from the standard model.
The mu -> e gamma and tau ->mu gamma decays in the general two Higgs doublet model with the inclusion of one universal extra dimension
Iltan, EO (2004-02-01)
We study the effect of one universal extra dimension on the branching ratios of the lepton flavor violating processes mu --> egamma and tau --> mugamma in the general two Higgs doublet model. We observe that these new effects are tiny for the small values of the compactification radius R. Furthermore, we see that these effects are comparable with the branching ratio obtained without including extra dimension, if the neutral Higgs bosons are nearly degenerate and the complexity of the Yukawa coupling, induci...
