The exclusive Lambda(b)->Lambda l(+)l(-) decay is analyzed in the fourth generation model. We studied the sensitivity of the physical observables such as the branching ratio and the forward-backward asymmetry of this process to the model parameters, namely, the mass of the fourth generation up-type quark t' and the fourth generation CKM matrix element V-t's*V-t'b by using two possible solutions of the latter and the experimental results on branching ratios for B-s -> X-s gamma and Bs -> X(c)l nu overbar. It has been found that these observables are almost the same as the SM predictions when V-t's*V-t'b is positive. However, when it is negative, they are essentially very sensitive to the fourth generation model and can serve as efficient tools in search of the fourth generation.

The exclusive Lambda(b) Lambda l(+) l(-) decay in the general two Higgs doublet model
Turan, Gürsevil (IOP Publishing, 2005-05-01)
The exclusive Lambda(b) -> Lambda l(+)l decay is analysed in the model III version of the two Higgs doublet model. We especially studied the branching ratio and the forward-backward asymmetry of this process and investigated the sensitivity of these physical observable to the model parameters. We have found that they are highly sensitive to new physics and hence provide powerful probe of the SM.
Polarization effects in exclusive semileptonic Lambda(b) -> Lambda l(+) l(-)
Alıyev, Tahmasıb; Savcı, Mustafa (2006-05-01)
The independent helicity amplitudes in the Lambda(b) -> Lambda l(+)l(-) decay in the standard model and its minimal extension, i.e., with the new vector type interactions, are calculated. We calculate various asymmetry parameters characterizing the angular dependence of the differential decay width for the cascade decay Lambda(b) -> Lambda(-> a+b) V*(-> l(+)l(-)) with polarized and unpolarized heavy baryons. The sensitivity of the asymmetry parameters to the new Wilson coefficients are analyzed.
Exclusive Lambda(b)->Lambda l(+)l(-) decay in a two-Higgs-doublet model
Alıyev, Tahmasıb; Savcı, Mustafa (IOP Publishing, 2000-07-01)
Rare Lambda(b) --> Lambda l(+)l(-) decay is investigated within a framework of a general two-Higgs-doublet model, in which a new sourer of CP violation exists (model III). The polarization parameter, CP asymmetry and decay width are calculated. It is shown that CP asymmetry is a sensitive tool for establishing model III.
Lambda(b) -> Lambda l(+)l(-) decay in universal extra dimensions
Alıyev, Tahmasıb; Savcı, Mustafa (Springer Science and Business Media LLC, 2007-03-01)
We study the exclusive Lambda(b) ->Lambda l(+)l(-)(l = mu,Gamma) decay in the Appelquist, Chang, Dobrescu model with a single universal extra dimension. We investigate the sensitivity of the branching ratio, lepton polarization and forward-backward asymmetry A(FB) to the compactification parameter 1/R. We obtain the result that the branching ratio for the Lambda(b) -> Lambda l(+)l(-) (l = mu, T) decay changes about 25% compared to the SM value when 1/R = 250 GeV, and the zero position of the forward-backwar...
New physics effects in Lambda(b)->Lambda l(+)l(-) decay with lepton polarizations
Alıyev, Tahmasıb; Özpineci, Altuğ; Savcı, Mustafa (2002-06-01)
We study lepton polarization asymmetries in the Lambda(b)-->Lambdal(+)l(-) decay using the most general model independent effective Hamiltonian. The dependence of the lepton polarizations and their combinations on the new Wilson coefficients are studied in detail. It is observed that there is a region for the new Wilson coefficients for which the branching ratio coincides with the standard model prediction, while lepton polarizations show considerable departure from the standard model.
