In present study, some derivatives of 2,6-diaminoanthraquinone dyes are synthesized and their UV-visible spectra are investigated in various conditions. Ten compounds (la-e) and (2a-e), two of which (1a, 1b) were previously obtained in low yields, have been synthesized by using diazonium salts of 2,6-diaminoanthraquinone and characterized by spectroscopic methods.

Characterization of Cu-rich and Zn-poor Cu2ZnSnS4 single crystal grown by vertical Bridgman technique
Peksu, Elif; Terlemezoglu, Makbule; PARLAK, MEHMET; Karaağaç, Hakan (2021-11-15)
To date, although a number of studies have focused on understanding the fundamental properties of Cu-poor/Zn-rich Cu2ZnSnS4 (CZTS) single crystals, little attention has been paid to investigate the physical properties of those with a Cu-rich / Zn-poor chemical composition. Therefore, in this study, the structural and electrical properties of Cu-rich/Zn-poor CZTS single crystal grown by the Bridgman technique have been studied in order to fill this gap in literature. XRD and Raman findings confirm the growth...
Synthesis of Magnetic Fe3O4-Chitosan Nanoparticles by Ionic Gelation and Their Dye Removal Ability
ŞAHBAZ, DENİZ AKIN; YAKAR, ARZU; Gündüz, Ufuk (2015-05-01)
The aim of this study was to synthesize magnetic Fe3O4 chitosan nanoparticles (m-Fe3O4-CNs) by ionic gelation method and use them as adsorbent for the removal of Bromothymol Blue (BB) from aqueous solutions. Also, the effect of various parameters on the preparation of m-Fe3O4-CNs was investigated in this study. The nanoparticles were characterized by transmission electron microscopy (TEM), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), dynamic light scattering (DLS), Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy and ...
Synthesis and characterization of polythiophene/montmorillonite and polythiophene/polypropylene composites
Dülgerbaki, Çiğdem; Küçükyavuz, Zuhal; Department of Chemistry (2006)
In this study, polythiophene(PTP)/montmorillonite(MMT) nanocomposites were synthesized by in situ intercalative polymerization and chemical oxidative polymerization. In in situ intercalative polymerization method, composites containing 90 and 95% MMT were prepared. In chemical oxidative polymerization method, a series of composites ranging from 1 to 15% by weight MMT were synthesized. Thermal and morphological properties of samples were investigated by Differential Scanning Calorimeter (DSC), Thermal Gravim...
Synthesis of liquid crystalline copolyesters with low melting temperature for in situ composite applications
Erdoğan, Selahattin; Bayramlı, Erdal; Department of Polymer Science and Technology (2011)
The objective of this study is to synthesize nematic-thermotropic liquid crystalline polymers (LCP) and determine their possible application areas. In this context, thirty different LCP’s were synthesized and categorized with respect to their fiber formation capacity, melting temperature and mechanical properties. The basic chemical structure of synthesized LCP’s were composed of p-acetoxybenzoic acid (p-ABA), m-acetoxybenzoic acid (m-ABA), hydroquinone diacetate (HQDA), terephthalic acid (TPA) and isophtha...
Synthesis of silver nanoparticles by oleylamine-oleic acid reduction and its use in making nanocable by coaxial electrospinning
Çınar, Simge; MAVİŞ, BORA; Çolak, Üner (American Scientific Publishers, 2011-12-01)
In the present study, silver nanoparticles were produced by hydrazine hydrate and oleylamine/oleic acid systems in order to investigate the effects of reducing agents with different strengths on the reduction mechanism. Particle size and size distribution of silver particles produced by slow reducing system were studied in detail by using transmission electron microscopy (TEM), X-Ray Diffraction (XRD), photon correlation spectroscopy (PCS), and surface plasmon resonance spectroscopy (SPR). Finally, reductio...
