Changing paradigm of nature-architecture relationship has being directly affected from developing science and technologies as well as from the impact of biomimetic inventions in various man made designs. Our perception of forms and structures are also shifting through use of computational techniques. From this aspect, mathematical models can be considered as the first step to analyze the complex forms and structures in nature. In this paper it is aimed to initiate a platform in architecture which will serve for discussions to explore the potentials of these interactions under the impact of computational and information technologies, not only in terms of formal/visual way, but also extending to learn more about the formation process in nature.

Nanotechnology is an avant-garde field of scientific research that revolutionizes technological advancements in the present world. It is a cutting-edge scientific approach that has undoubtedly a plethora of functions in controlling environmental pollutants for the welfare of the ecosystem. However, their unprecedented utilization and hysterical release led to a huge threat to the soil microbiome. Nanoparticles(NPs) hamper physicochemical properties of soil along with microbial metabolic activities within rh...
Breadth and Depth of Main Technology Fields: An Empirical Investigation Using Patent Data
Özman, Müge (Science And Technology Policies Research Center, Middle East Technical University (Ankara, Turkey), 2007)
Recently work on technological change has emphasized the importance and implications of di§erent knowledge bases among industries in terms of innovative potential. In some industries, products and processes have become more complex, as well as there appears to be increased convergence in some market segments. Although increasing attention has been given to features of knowledge bases, there have been limited empirical research on how to measure them. In this paper a method is proposed to measure empirically...

Data analysis has become a very important area for both companies and researchers as a consequence of the technological developments in recent years. Companies are trying to increase their profit by analyzing the existing data about their customers and making decisions for the future according to the results of these analyses. Parallel to the need of companies, researchers are investigating different methodologies to analyze data more accurately with high performance. In this paper, we adopted free-formatte...

Major improvements in production technology led to the creation of new zones including various types of spaces where energy is generated, transmitted and used. With these developments, industrialization caused changes in the physical, natural and social environment. In this process, architecture and city planning were used as tools to create spaces for industry and at the same time contributing to the modernization of society. These complexes and buildings became the subject of conservation because they emb...
Designing in the Age of Network Society: The Role of Technology in Design Processes and Knowledge Generation
Bruna, Marco (Middle East Technical University, Faculty of Architecture, 2017-6-15)
Architectural design in recent decades has measured itself with an unprecedented speed imposed by technological innovation, from which the Internet has emerged at a greater pace. To interpret correctly the changes that have ensued, it is essential to rule out any technological impetus by which these new conditions can now dictate related assessments in design processes. The ability to achieve new knowledge and produce endless combinations seems to lead to a path based on a shared work; it is no coincidence ...
