Çokkültürlülük Algısı ve Diğerkâmlık Suriyelilere Yönelik Tutumu Etkiler mi? Öğretmen Adayları Gözünden Bir Çalışma

Bu araştırmanın amacı öğretmen adaylarının Suriyelilere yönelik tutumlarının çokkültürlülük ve diğerkâmlık açısından incelenmesidir. Araştırma 2018-2019 eğitim-öğretim yılı bahar yarıyılında Türkiye’deki üç devlet üniversitesinde (Hacettepe Üniversitesi, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan Üniversitesi ve Trabzon Üniversitesi) öğrenim gören 258 kız, 217 erkek olmak üzere toplam 375 öğrenciden oluşmaktadır. Araştırma verileri, araştırmacı tarafından hazırlanan kişisel bilgi formu, Suriyelilere yönelik tutum ölçeği, çokkültürlülük ölçeği ve diğerkâmlık ölçeği kullanılmıştır. Verilerin analizinde Pearson korelasyonu, bağımsız örneklem t testi, tek faktörlü varyans analizi ve çoklu regresyon testi kullanılmıştır. Suriyelilere yönelik olumsuz tutum ile diğerkâmlık arasında negatif yönde yüksek düzeyde, Suriyelilere yönelik olumsuz tutum ile çokkültürlülük tutumu arasında negatif yönde yüksek düzeyde, diğerkâmlık ile çokkültürlülük arasında ise pozitif yönde orta düzeyde ilişki saptanmıştır. Demografik değişkenlerden Suriyelilere yönelik olumsuz tutumun cinsiyete göre istatistiksel açıdan anlamlı bir fark göstermemektedir. En az bir Suriyeli arkadaşı olan ve olmayanların Suriyelilere yönelik olumsuz tutumları arasında istatistiksel açıdan anlamlı bir fark görülmüştür. Yaşamının çoğunluğunu geçirdiği yere göre bakıldığında büyük şehirlerde yaşayan diğer yerleşim yerlerine göre (il merkezi, ilçe merkezi, köy) Suriyelilere yönelik olumsuz tutumlarının daha az olduğu sonucuna ulaşılmıştır ve istatistiksel olarak anlamlı fark bulunmuştur.
