Interoperability has become one of the big problems of e-commerce since it was born. A number of B2B standards like ebXML, UDDI, RosettaNet, xCBL, etc. emerged recently to solve the interoperability problem. UDDI and ebXML axe the leading standards in the area of e-commerce that provide different solutions for interoperability. UDDI standard provides a service based solution that proposes a registry standard for companies to publish their services on the web. On the other hand, ebXML provides a process based solution. It proposes several standard specifications like ebXML Messaging Service Specification (ebMSS) to achieve messaging interoperability, ebXML Business Process Specification (ebBPSS) and ebXML Collaboration Protocol Profile/Aggreement (ebCPP/A) to provide business process and partner profile interoperability, ebXML Registry Service Specification (ebRSS) and ebXML Registry Information Model (ebRIM) to describe a registry/repository that provides a classification mechanism to achieve partner discovery.

Delta Analysis: A Hybrid Quantitative Approach for Measuring Discrepancies between Business Process Models
Esgin, Eren; Karagöz, Pınar (2011-05-25)
Business process management (BPM) continues to play a significant role in today's highly globalized world. In order to detect and prevent the gap between reference process model and the actual operation, process mining techniques discover operational model on the basis of the process logs. An important issue at BPM is to measure the similarity between the reference process model and discovered process model so that it can be possible to pinpoint where process participants deviate from the intended process d...
Open design for product/part longevity: research through co-designing with a focus on small kitchen appliances
Bakırlıoğlu, Yekta; Doğan, Çağla; Department of Industrial Design (2017)
The rise in the open-source hardware practices, and Do-It-Yourself and Maker movements through newly-developing internet technologies (e.g. Wikis and user-generated content), and the dissemination of end-user focused digital production technologies (e.g. 3D printers, laser cutters, etc.) helped design practice evolve towards a more inclusive process. Open Design approach presents a continuous process of co-designing that is open to everyone, with no limitations on time, space and kind of contribution. In li...
BIM-CAREM: Assessing the BIM capabilities of design, construction and facilities management processes in the construction industry
Yilmaz, Gokcen; Akçamete Güngör, Aslı; Demirors, Onur (2023-05-01)
BIM adoption has accelerated worldwide since it is an important enabling technology for digitalisation in the construction industry. Adopting BIM requires transforming the traditional building life cycle stages (planning, design, construction and facilities management) into BIM-integrated project deliveries. Assessing the BIM capabilities of these stages helps organisations to identify gaps in their BIM uses and improve them. There is a lack of a comprehensive model in the literature for assessing the BIM c...
Assessment of agile maturity models: a multiple case study
Özcan Top, Özden (2013-06-04)
Agile methods are welcomed by software community in recent years. The move from traditional methods to agile methods is not straightforward. Software organizations need assistance to achieve transition from traditional software development approaches to agile approaches and to improve their agile capability. During the last few years several agile maturity models/frameworks are developed to guide organizations in agile process improvement and agile adoption. In this study, we assess the strengths and weakne...
Recommender system construction using latent semantic analysis and data mining methods one-commerce data
Özer, Arif Görkem; Alemdar, Hande; Department of Computer Engineering (2019)
Recommender systems are developed to provide better recommendations to users of e-commerce applications. In addition to this goal, e-commerce applications benefit from their recommender systems to show advertisements to users, apply discounts on specific items. The task of recommending an item to a user is always a challenge; luckily, there are many methods developed to complete this task such as collaborative filtering, association rule mining etc. These methods mainly look at the co-occurrence of items; h...
