We report on a classification of supersymmetric solutions to 11D supergravity with SO(2, 2) x SO(3) isometry, which are AdS/CFT dual to 2D CFTs with N = (0, 4) supersymmetry. We recover the Maldacena, Strominger, Witten near-horizon with small superconformal symmetry and identify a class of AdS(3) x S-2 x S-2 x CY2 geometries with emergent large superconformal symmetry. This exhausts known compact geometries. Compactification of M-theory on CY2 results in a vacuum of 7D supergravity with large superconformal symmetry, providing a candidate near-horizon for an extremal black hole and a potential new setting to address microstates.

Radiation in Yang-Mills Formulation of Gravity and a Generalized pp-Wave Metric
Başkal, Sibel (Oxford University Press (OUP), 1999-10-1)
Variational methods applied to a quadratic Yang-Mills-type Lagrangian yield two sets of relations interpreted as the field equations and the energy-momentum tensor for the gravitational field. A covariant condition is imposed on the energy-momentum tensor in order for it to represent the radiation field. A generalized pp-wave metric is found to simultaneously satisfy both the field equations and the radiation condition. The result is compared with that of Lichnerowicz.
Search for physics beyond the standard model in high-mass diphoton events from proton-proton collisions at root s=13 TeV
Sirunyan, A. M.; et. al. (American Physical Society (APS), 2018-11-01)
A search for physics beyond the standard model is performed using a sample of high-mass diphoton events produced in proton-proton collisions at root s = 13 TeV. The data sample was collected in 2016 with the CMS detector at the LHC and corresponds to an integrated luminosity of 35.9 fb(-1). The search is performed for both resonant and nonresonant new physics signatures. At 95% confidence level, lower limits on the mass of the first Kaluza-Klein excitation of the graviton in the Randall-Sundrum warped extra...
Suppression and azimuthal anisotropy of prompt and nonprompt J/psi production in PbPb collisions at root S-NN=2.76 TeV
Khachatryan, V.; et. al. (Springer Science and Business Media LLC, 2017-04-01)
The nuclear modification factor R-AA and the azimuthal anisotropy coefficient v(2) ofprompt and nonprompt (i.e. those from decays of b hadrons) J/psi mesons, measured from PbPb and pp collisions at root S-NN = 2.76 rfeV at itheLHC, are reported. The results are presented in several event centrality intervals and several kinematic regions, for transverse momenta p(T) > 6.5 GeV/c and rapidity vertical bar y vertical bar < 2.4, extending down to p(T) = 3 GeV/c in the 1.6 < vertical bar y vertical bar < 2.4 ran...
Search for resonant t(t)over-bar production in proton-proton collisions at root s=8 TeV
Khachatryan, V.; et. al. (American Physical Society (APS), 2016-01-01)
A search is performed for the production of heavy resonances decaying into top-antitop quark pairs in proton-proton collisions at root s = 8 TeV. Data used for the analyses were collected with the CMS detector and correspond to an integrated luminosity of 19.7 fb(-1). The search is performed using events with three different final states, defined by the number of leptons (electrons and muons) from the t (t) over bar. WbWb decay. The analyses are optimized for reconstruction of top quarks with high Lorentz b...
Phenomenological Analysis of the Pomeron-f Complex in Hadron Total Cross Sections
Hacınlıyan, Avadis (Oxford University Press (OUP), 1977-7-1)
Total cross sections in the range 6≤pL≤280 GeV/c are phenomenologically analyzed in order to extract symmetry properties of the Pomeron-f complex. The compatibility of a two component Pomeron with the second component contributing to NN, πN and KN cross sections in the ratio 9 : 4 : 2 is shown. It is found that ω-f exchange degeneracy critically depends on both f and Pomeron universality. Finally, it is demonstrated that one may interpret the Pomeron contribution as an enhances cut and the f contribution as...
