This study was carried out for evaluation about reading habit readiness adequacy of kindergartens in Ankara. State kindergartens affiliated to MoNE within 16 district located within Ankara Metropolitan Municipality borders makes up the area of this research. The sample of this research consists of 6 district, 50 schools and 249 teachers. Descriptive method with questionnaire, observation and interviewing techniques are used in this research. According the results obtained from this study, in terms of the reading habit readiness of kindergartens have positive and negative situations. Examples of positive situations of reading habit readiness education is shown teachers'attitudes and awareness of the importance of preschool term, reading habit readiness implementation in this term and childrens' positive attitudes against reading. Examples of negative situations of reading habit readiness education is shown inadequacies of families and training deficiencies of teachers in this topic, physical inadequacies of kindergartens, library and material deficiencies of kindergartens. The hypothesis defined "Reading habit readiness functions of state kindergartens affiliated to MoNE in Ankara are not exactly in a position to fulfill" has been confirmed as the result of the research.

The study investigates the reliability and validity of the Turkish Dyadic Adjustment Scale (DAS). Scores of the DAS were studied for its reliability and validity.
