Actuator Load Calculation Algorithm for a Multiaxial Test System of a Rotating Beam like Aerostructure

In this paper, development of actuator load calculation tool for a rotating beam like aerospace structure structural test system is investigated. A rectangular aluminum beam is designed and used in the development procedure. This rectangular beam and the test system is modelled in a dynamic analysis software. Actuator loads are calculated by using this model results. Then, the develop tool is verified with a multiaxial test on an instrumented and calibrated rectangular aluminum beam.

The effect of thickness-to-chord (t/C) ratio on aerodynamics of a non-slender delta wing with sweep angle of 45 degree is characterized in a low-speed wind tunnel using laser illuminated smoke visualization, surface pressure measurements, particle image velocimetry, and force measurements.
