10 ve 11 sınıf öğrencilerinin temel geometri konularındaki hataları ve kavram yanılgıları

1999-02-01
Bu araştmnanın amacı, öğrencilerin geometride açılar konusundaki öğrenme düzeylerini, hatalar, kavram yanılgılan ve cinsiyet açısından incelemektir. AraştıOllanın örneklemini, 1997- i998 öğretim yılında Ankara'nınbir özelokulunda okuyan 10. ve i 1. sınıftan birer şube olmak üzere toplam 67 öğrenci oluştuOllaktadır.Araştmnanın verileri i i tane açık uçlu soru içeren sınavdan elde edilmiştir. Bu çalışmada i i soru içinden seçilen 5 soru üzerinde durulmaktadır.

Casual relations among 12th grade students' geometry knowledge, spatial ability, gender and school type
Eryılmaz Çevirgen, Ayşegül; Ubuz, Behiye; Department of Secondary Science and Mathematics Education (2012)
The purpose of this study is to invetigate the causal relationships among 12th grade students’ geometry knowledge regarding prisms and pyramids, spatial ability, gender, and school type. Path analysis was used to test the relationships among knowledge factors (declarative, conditional, and procedural knowledge), spatial ability factors (spatial visualization, mental rotation, and spatial perception ability), gender (female and male), and school type (general high schools and Anatolian high schools). Knowled...
Middle and high school mathematics teachers' perspectives on the use of 3d diagrams in teaching geometry
Yıldızel Saygılı, İlkay; Erbaş, Ayhan Kürşat; Department of Mathematics Education (2022-8)
This study investigates the perspectives of middle and high school mathematics teachers on the application of three-dimensional diagrams in geometry teaching. A supporting aim was also to obtain their suggestions on supporting students’ diagrammatic reasoning and addressing misconceptions and difficulties that may arise. The study's participants are 12 math teachers working in Turkey on face-to- face and online platforms. Data were collected through semi-structured, open-ended, and task-bas...
Investigating perceptions of preservice mathematics teachers on their technological pedagogical content knowledge (TPACK) regarding geometry
Bulut, Aykut; Işıksal Bostan, Mine; Department of Elementary Science and Mathematics Education (2012)
The aim of this study is to investigate perceptions of preservice mathematics teachers’ technological pedagogical content knowledge (TPACK) regarding geometry. In addition, the purpose is to examine the relationships among the components of TPACK. Moreover, possible gender and year of enrollment differences related to preservice mathematics teachers’ technological pedagogical content knowledge dimensions are examined. This research study has been conducted with 780 preservice mathematics teachers who are en...
Examining 10th grade students’ problem solving processes in geometry using eye tracking technology
Malcı, Emine; Tokel, Saniye Tuğba; Department of Aerospace Engineering (2021-2-15)
This study examines the problem-solving strategies of 10th-grade high school students and changes in their eye movements during problem-solving in geometry. Eight 10th-grade students participated in this study. Spatial Ability Test (SAT) was applied to evaluate participants' spatial abilities. Participants were asked to solve six geometry problems on the computer and think aloud while solving problems. During problem-solving, participants' eye movements were recorded by an eye tracker. After the problem-sol...
Ninth grade students understanding of the nature of scientific knowledge
Kılıç, Kerem; Sungur, Semra; Çakıroğlu, Jale; Tekkaya, Ceren (2005-01-01)
The purpose of this study was to investigate the 9th-grade students’ understandings of the nature of scientific knowledge. The study also aimed to investigate the differences in students’ understanding of the nature of scientific knowledge by gender, and school types. A total of 575 ninth grade students from four different school types (General High, Anatolian High, Vocational High and Super Lycee) participated in the study. Data were collected utilizing an adapted version of the Nature of Scientific Knowle...
