A computer program for the analysis of 1-D contaminant migration through a soil layer
Çokça, Erdal (Elsevier BV, 2003-01-01)
The physical and chemical processes that influence contaminant transport through a saturated soil layer are presented. The computer program (1DContr) was developed based on existing analytical solutions for one-dimensional transport of contaminants in a saturated soil layer. The computer program is given for pulse and continuous source. The formulation includes advective and dispersive transport as well as sorption and first order transformation. The computer program that is based on analytical solutions is...
An automated building extraction model using fuzzy k-nn classifier from monocular aerial images
Şenaras, Çağlar; Karslıoğlu, Mahmut Onur; Department of Civil Engineering (2007)
The aim of this study is to develop an automated model to extract buildings from aerial images. The fuzzy k-NN classification method is used to extract the buildings by using color information. Also in the thesis, the advantages of the relevance feedback systems are discussed. The software, BuildingLS, is developed in C#. The model is evaluated in 5 different test areas with more than 700 building.

An Implantable Multichannel Digital Neural Recording System for a Micromachined Sieve Electrode
Akın, Tayfun; Bradley, R.M. (1995-06-29)
This paper reports the development of an implantable, fully integrated, single-chip, multichannel neural recording system, which is powered and communicated with using an RF telemetry link. The system allows recording of /spl plusmn/500/spl mu/V neural signals from axons regenerated through a micromachined silicon sieve electrode. These signals are amplified using on-chip 100Hz to 3.IkHz bandlimited amplifiers, multiplexed, and digitized with a low-power, high speed current-mode 8-bit ADC, and then transmit...
