Ceydilek, Erdem
This study focuses on a relatively under-studied subject within the literature of far right populism. By using the operational code construct (Leites 1951, 1953; George 1969, Walker 2000) we depict foreign policy belief systems of eight populist far right leaders in Europe. In line with this research question, we test the following hypotheses: (i) In terms of foreign policy belief systems , these populist far right leaders share a common pattern. (ii) These leaders' foreign policy belief system are significantly different from the world leaders norming group (Malici and Buckner 2008). More specifically, P1, P4 and I1 scores (master beliefs) of far right leadership will be compared to those of 'norming' group' leaders and statistical significance tests will be conducted. The results will be discussed in connection with a policy area such as the EU integration and immigration.

Since neoclassical realism emphasizes domestic determinants of states, this study focuses on elite preferences of China and Russia. In this regard, the liberal international...
