Bu çalışmada ayrıntı düzeylerinde tasarım çalışmalarını daha etkin hale getirmek için bir referans modeli sunulmaktadır. Gerçek endüstri problemlerinden yola çıkarak planlanan ve metodolojik adımlarla desteklenen bu model, bir saha vakası kullanılarak anlatılmıştır. Çalışma, istemlerde kalite öznitelik gereksinimlerinin karşılanmasında alt düzey tasarımın üst düzey mimari tasarım kadar önemli bir etkinlik olduğunu göstermektedir. Saha vakası olarak eski bir bankacılık sisteminin yeniden yapılandırma süreci anlatılmıştır.
