Study of screen printed metallization for polysilicon based passivating contacts
Çiftpınar, Hande E.; Stodolny, Maciej K.; Wu, Yu; Janssen, Gaby J.M.; Löffler, Jochen; Schmitz, Jurriaan; Lenes, Martijn; Luchies, Jan-Marc; Geerligs, L.J. (Elsevier BV; 2017-9)
We investigate contacting of n- and p-type polysilicon (polySi) passivating contact layers with industrial screen-printed metal pastes, examining both fire through (FT) and non-fire through (NFT) pastes. The n- and p-type polySi layers, deposited by low pressure chemical vapour deposition and doped by POCl3 diffusion, phosphorus implant, or BBr3 diffusion, result in excellent J(o), even for 50 nm thickness (<2 fA/cm(2) for n-polySi, <10 fA/cm(2) for p-polySi). The contact recombination is investigated by ph...

Study of thin film poly-crystalline CdTe solar cells presenting high acceptor concentrations achieved by in-situ arsenic doping
Kartopu, G.; Oklobia, O.; Turkay, D.; Diercks, D. R.; Gorman, B. P.; Barrioz, V.; Campbell, S.; Major, J. D.; Al Turkestani, M. K.; Yerci, Selçuk; Barnes, T. M.; Beattie, N. S.; Zoppi, G.; Jones, S.; Irvine, S. J. C. (2019-06-01)
Doping of CdTe using Group-V elements (As, P, and Sb) has gained interest in pursuit of increasing the cell voltage of CdTe thin film solar devices. Studies on bulk CdTe crystals have shown that much higher acceptor concentration than the traditional copper treatment is possible with As, P or Sb, enabled by high process temperature and/or rapid thermal quenching under Cd overpressure. We report a comprehensive study on in-situ As doping of poly-crystalline CdTe solar cells by MOCVD, whereby high acceptor de...
Study of water-oil emulsion combustion in large pilot power plants for fine particle matter emission reduction
Allouis, Christophe Gerard; L'Insalata, A.; Fortunato, L.; Saponaro, A.; Beretta, F. (2007-04-01)
The combustion of heavy fuel oil for power generation is a great source of carbonaceous and inorganic particle emissions, even though the combustion technologies and their efficiency are improving. The information about the size distribution function of the particles originated by trace metals present into the fuels is not adequate. In this paper, we focused our attention the influence of emulsion oil-water on the larger distribution mode of both the carbonaceous and metallic particles. Isokinetic sampling ...
