Study of Inside Coupled Noise Reduction Under the Presence of Helmholtz Resonators
Sorguç, Arzu; Çalışkan, Mehmet (null; 1999-03-01)
Investigation of cue-based aggregation in static and dynamic environments with a mobile robot swarm
Arvin, Farshad; Turgut, Ali Emre; Krajnik, Tomas; Yue, Shigang (SAGE Publications, 2016-04-01)
Aggregation is one of the most fundamental behaviors and has been studied in swarm robotic researches for more than two decades. Studies in biology have revealed that the environment is a preeminent factor, especially in cue-based aggregation. This can be defined as aggregation at a particular location which is a heat or a light source acting as a cue indicating an optimal zone. In swarm robotics, studies on cue-based aggregation mainly focused on different methods of aggregation and different parameters su...
Study of trapping and recombination centres in Tl2InGaTe4 chain crystals by dark electrical conductivity and photoconductivity measurements
QASRAWI, ATEF FAYEZ HASAN; Hasanlı, Nızamı (Informa UK Limited, 2007-01-01)
Dark electrical conductivity and photoconductivity of Tl2InGaTe4 single crystals have been measured and analyzed in the temperature region 100-300 K. The dark electrical conductivity measurements revealed an intrinsic- or extrinsic-type of conductivity above or below 210 K, respectively. From intrinsic conductivity data analysis, the energy band gap of Tl2InGaTe4 crystals was determined as 0.85 eV. In the extrinsic region, the dark conductivity arises from a donor energy level located at 0.30 eV below the c...
Study of modeling of water saturation in archie and non-archie porous media
Dalkhaa, Chantsalmaa; Okandan, Ender; Department of Petroleum and Natural Gas Engineering (2005)
The aim of this thesis is to study water saturation models available in the literature and to apply a proper one to a real field case. Archie equation is the most well-known water saturation model. However, it is formulated on some assumptions and is applicable to only clean sands. Archie equation cannot be used for shaly formation. There are many shaly water saturation models that account for shale effect for water saturation estimation. In this study, 3 wells, namely Well-01, Well-02 and Well-03 are studi...
INVESTIGATION OF PHYSICAL INTERACTION BETWEEN Gαi AND Gαs PROTEINS VIA FRET IN LIVE CELLS
Balkan, Seyda Tuğçe; Son, Çağdaş Devrim; Küçük Baloğlu, Fatma; Department of Biochemistry (2021-8-11)
GPCR’s are seven-transmembrane receptors that transmit external signals to the intracellular environment via secondary messenger systems through heterotrimeric G proteins. Heterotrimeric G proteins consist of α and β-γ subunits. Until recent years, scientists thought that GPCR signal transduction occurs between one GPCR and one heterotrimeric G protein; however, recently, it has been shown that GPCR’s can make oligomers. Oligomerization of GPCR allows cells to tune the intensity of the signal and respond ap...
