Azaindole-BODIPYs: Synthesis, fluorescent recognition of hydrogen sulfate anion and biological evaluation
Kesan, Gurkan; Topaloglu, Burcu; Ozcan, Emrah; Kazan, Hasan Huseyin; TANRIVERDİ EÇİK, ESRA; ŞENKUYTU, ELİF; ŞENGÜL, İBRAHİM FAZIL; KANDEMİR, HAKAN; ÇOŞUT, BÜNYEMİN (2019-04-15)
The synthesized and sensing capability of two novel azaindole substituted mono and distyryl BODIPY dyes against bisulfate anion were reported. Structural characterizations of the targeted compounds were conducted by using matrix-assisted laser desorption/ionization time-of-flight mass spectrometry, H-1 and C-13 NMRspectroscopies. Photophysical properties of the azaindole substituted BODIPY compounds were investigated employing absorption and fluorescence spectroscopies in acetonitrile solution. It was found...

Azo-bridged triazoles: Green energetic materials
Türker, Burhan Lemi (2016-02-01)
In this short review, excerpts from the literature of azo-bridged triazoles (mainly 1,2,4-triazoles), some of their derivatives (chloromethyl, dinitro and trinitro pyrazole substituted ones, etc.) and some of their salts, have been presented focusing on the most recent investigations. These classes of compounds, known as high nitrogen compounds, are generally high energy density materials. Therefore, if available some of their ballistic properties were included. Benzaldehyde lyase from pseudomonas fluorescens biovar i mediated biotransformation for the synthesis of chiral alpha hydroxy ketones
Hoşrik, Birsu Semra; Demir, Ayhan Sıtkı; Department of Biochemistry (2010)
Optically active α-hydroxy ketones are important subunits of many biologically active compounds and indispensable synthons for asymmetric synthesis. Benzaldehyde Lyase from Pseudomonas fluorescens Biovar I is a novel ThDP-dependent enzyme that catalyzes the synthesis of benzoin type chiral α-hydroxy ketones starting from both benzaldehyde and racemic benzoin derivatives. Benzaldehyde Lyase is the first example of enzymes in the literature which leads to a chemical resolution of enantiomers of benzoin deriva...
Asymmetric diethylzinc addition to N-sulphonyl and N-phosphinoyl arylaldimines
Çağlı, Eda; Doğan, Özdemir; Department of Chemistry (2013)
Design of new chiral ligands for asymmetric synthesis is important. The ligand should be economical and efficient in enantioselective transformations. For the synthesis of some natural products and biologically active compounds, optically active amines are used as important intermediates. For this reason, it is significant to develop new catalyst system which can produce optically active amines in an economical and efficient way. Our group developed PFAM ligands and used successfully for the enantioselectiv...
