Azo-bridged triazoles: Green energetic materials
Türker, Burhan Lemi (2016-02-01)
In this short review, excerpts from the literature of azo-bridged triazoles (mainly 1,2,4-triazoles), some of their derivatives (chloromethyl, dinitro and trinitro pyrazole substituted ones, etc.) and some of their salts, have been presented focusing on the most recent investigations. These classes of compounds, known as high nitrogen compounds, are generally high energy density materials. Therefore, if available some of their ballistic properties were included. The synthesized and sensing capability of two novel azaindole substituted mono and distyryl BODIPY dyes against bisulfate anion were reported. Structural characterizations of the targeted compounds were conducted by using matrix-assisted laser desorption/ionization time-of-flight mass spectrometry, H-1 and C-13 NMRspectroscopies. Photophysical properties of the azaindole substituted BODIPY compounds were investigated employing absorption and fluorescence spectroscopies in acetonitrile solution. It was found...
Benzodithiophene and selenophene bearing polymer for inverted organic solar cell applications
Toppare, Levent Kamil; Yaşa, Mustafa; Göker, Seza; Udum, Yasemin; Günbaş, Emrullah Görkem; Çırpan, Ali (null; 2018-07-06)
Inverted organic solar cells have advantages over conventional organic solar cells. Most important advantage is the improved stability of inverted solar cells. In this study, benzodithiophene, quinoxaline and selenophene bearing conjugated polymer was used as donor material in inverted solar cell applications. Device performances were investigated with the device configuration of ITO/ ZnO/ polymer:PC71BM/ MoO3/ Ag. In order to improve device performance, polymer PCBM ratio, active layer thickness, annealing...
Benzotriazole and quinoxaline containing random copolymers for bulk-heterojunction polymer solar cell applications
Temiz, Cansel; Çırpan, Ali; Ünalan, Hüsnü Emrah; Department of Polymer Science and Technology (2015)
In this study, benzotriazole and quinoxaline derivates bearing donor acceptor type three random copolymers were synthesized to achieve broad absorption spectrum in visible region. Quinoxalines are used as strong acceptors in conjugated polymers due to the imine nitrogen in the structure. Quinoxaline containing polymers are green in their neutral states and they reveal two distinct λmax at around 400 and 700 nm. Additionally, benzotriazole and thiophene bearing polymers are red in their neutral states with λ...
