Synthesis and characterization of tetranitro and tetraamino zinc phthalocyanines and their combinations with mica-titania pigment
Sönmez, Yasemin; Gündüz, Güngör; Maviş, Bora; Department of Chemical Engineering (2014)
In the present study, tetranitro and tetraamino substituted zinc phthalocyanine were synthesized by using nitro phthalic acid precursor under microwave irradiation. The products were purified using different solvents. Molecular structures of these phthalocyanine pigments were confirmed by FT-IR and UV-visible spectroscopy analyses. Each of these pigments was settled on the surface mica-titania pigment to obtain ‘combination pigment’. Tetraamino zinc phthalocyanine was deposited on mica-titania in water and ...

Synthesis and characterization of thiophene functionalized polystyrene copolymers and their electrochemical properties
Sahin, E; Camurlu, P; Toppare, Levent Kamil; Mercore, VM; Cianga, I; Yagci, Y (Wiley, 2005-12-01)
Thiophene functionalized polystyrene samples (TFPS) were synthesized by atom transfer radical polymerization (ATRP) of styrene, followed by Suzuki coupling with 3-thiophene (Th) boronic acid. Conducting graft polymer of TFPS with thiophene was achieved at 1.5 V in tetrabutylammonium tetrafluoroborate/dichloromethane (TBAFB/DM) by electrochemical methods. Spectroelectrochemical analysis of the resulting copolymers [P(TFPS-co-Th)] reflected electronic transitions at 449, 721 and 880 nm, revealing pi - pi* tra...
Synthesis and characterization of aluminoborophosphate compounds by hydrothermal and solid-state methods
Karabıçak, Seher; Kızılyallı, Meral; Department of Chemistry (2004)
The hydrothermal and solid state methods were used in the synthesis of some aluminoborophosphate compounds. The products were investigated by using XRD, IR, DTA, DSC, ICP and SEM methods. The solid state reactions have been studied in the range 700 ا 1200?C. Using several hydrothermal methods a novel aluminum phosphate compound Al3-xBxP3O12 was synthesized. The crystal system was found to be tetragonal with a=17.1629 and c = 12.6084A° unit cell parameters and space group is P4212 (No:90). In anorthite miner...
