Linguistics for ELT Studies kitabı, İngilizce öğretmenliği programlarında verilmekte olan Dilbilimi dersi için özel olarak hazırlanmıştır. Bu kitap dilbilimi çalışmalarını iki ana bölümde incelemektedir. Birinci bölüm sesbilgisi, sesletim, biçembilim ve İngiliz dili eğitimine uygulamaları, yapı bilgisi ve anlambilim konularını kapsayan mikro düzeyden oluşmaktadır. İkinci bölüm olan makro düzeyde ise ruhdilbilim, çocukların dil edinimi süreci, edimbilim ve ikinci dil öğrenimindeki uygulamaları, toplumdilbilimi, ikinci dil/yabancı dil eğitiminde sınıfiçi söylem çözümlemesi ve bütüncebilim çalışmalarından oluşmaktadır.
